FILTRATION CONTAINER ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS
A movable seal for interfacing between a first surface and a second surface includes a floating portion attached to a non-floating portion by a flexible coupling portion, wherein the non-floating portion is coupled to the first surface by nesting in a groove on the first surface, and wherein the non-floating portion forms a seal between the first and second surfaces when the first surface moves relative to the second surface in a first direction, and wherein the non-floating portion does not form a seal between the first and second surfaces when the first surface moves relative to the second surface in a second opposite direction.
Beverage Brewing Device
A beverage brewing device reduces the time required to produce a cold-brewed beverage. The brewer includes a container and a brewing material holder configured to be suspended from a lid of the container. The brewing material holder includes at least a mesh panel and is configured to support and contain brewing material in the brewing material holder. The lid assembly includes a mechanism configured to rotate the brewing material holder with respect to the lid about an axis extending away from the lid. The container is filled with water and the brewing material holder is filled with brewing material and submerged in the water within the container. Movement of the brewing material submerged in water substantially reduces the time required for cold brewing.

Infusion extracting apparatus and method
An extraction apparatus and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. The apparatus includes a cylindrical container with lid and pour spout, a container insert, and a plunger including a piston, a rod, a handle, and a filter or filtration chamber. The container insert is designed to catch infusible material which may be easily removed from the container when the container is empty or when the extract fluid remains in the container. The plunger may temporarily couple with the insert to allow the insert to be pulled up through the container with the grounds of other infusible material captured between the insert and the plunger allowing for quick and easy cleanup. The extraction apparatus is adapted for a use in a variety of sizes and may be adapted for manufactured at low cost. A variety of embodiments and alternatives are also included in the disclosure.

Method for making cold coffee and a steeping device for the implementation thereof
A method for preparing cold coffee involves placing ground coffee in a maceration basket, which is mounted in a maceration tank, and subjected the coffee to maceration by recirculated flow of maceration fluid pumped under pressure by a circulating pump to a hydrating head mounted centrally to the maceration basket. Preferably the maceration basket is completely immersed in the maceration fluid.
A device for preparing cold coffee is also disclosed, the device has a maceration tank, in which a maceration basket 1 for ground coffee is operationally mounted. The maceration basket is formed as a cylinder having a hollow center column dimensioned to receive at least a portion of the hydrating head. A circulating pump circulates the maceration fluid under pressure, from the maceration tank, via the hydrating head and the ground coffee batch disposed in the maceration basket back into the maceration tank.
BEVERAGE BREWING DEVICE AND METHOD
A beverage brewing device is configured to brew beverages such as coffee and tea. A brewing canister having a filter at a bottom end is held partially within a receiving beaker, and a seal is created between the canister outer surface and the beaker inner surface. Brewing media such as coffee grounds and brewing fluid such as hot water are added to the canister, mixed, and allowed to brew. At a desired time, the receiving beaker is moved relative to the brewing canister so that the brewing canister is partially removed from the receiving beaker. As such, a vacuum is formed between the bottom end of the brewing canister and the receiving beaker. The filter stops brewing media from flowing into the receiving beaker, but the vacuum draws the brewed beverage through the brewing media and filter and into the receiving beaker.
