CARTRIDGE, ASSEMBLY AND CUP FOR PREPARING LOOSE LEAF TEA AND METHOD OF PREPARING TEA
A cartridge (1) for controlled brewing of loose-leaf tea in a cup, comprising an infusion chamber (2) for containing loose tea leaves (3) and infusing a liquid with substances from the tea leaves to brew tea. A chamber wall (20) impervious to the liquid defines the infusion chamber. In the chamber wall is a passage (21) between the infusion chamber and an exterior (5) thereof. The passage has an open state in which the infusion chamber is in liquid communication with the exterior, to transport the substances from the infusion chamber into liquid in the exterior during brewing tea. In a close state the infusion chamber inside is closed off from liquid in the exterior to stop a concentration of the substances in the liquid in the exterior from increasing. A manual control manually controllable by a human-being allows to bring the passage from the open state into the closed state.
TEA MAKING APPLIANCE WITH FILTER ASSEMBLY
A tea maker includes a brewing unit which defines a vessel having an upper opening with a spout disposed thereon. A lid assembly is removeably received on the upper opening of the vessel and includes a steeping tube. The steeping tube extends downwardly from the lid assembly into the vessel when the lid assembly is received on the upper opening of the vessel. An articulating filter assembly is coupled to the lid assembly and includes a filter plate that is operable between an extended position and a retracted position. The filter plate is configured to contact an inner surface of the vessel when the filter plate is in the extended position. A biasing member is configured to bias the filter plate towards the extended position for filtering a brewed tea mixture as the mixture is poured through the upper opening of the vessel.

STEEPING APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR BREWING A BEVERAGE
A steeping apparatus (10) includes a container (12) and a partition (22) dividing the container into upper and lower chambers (24, 26). The partition has a central aperture (32, FIG. 2) which interconnects the chambers and is arranged to trap a volume of air 38 in the lower chamber when the container is filled with liquid. Hot water poured into the upper chamber (24) passes through the aperture to partially fill the lower chamber, trapping a volume of air (38). Brewing material (34) located in the upper chamber (24) steeps in the hot water to produce a beverage and gradually sinks into the lower chamber (26) through the aperture. The air (38) trapped in the lower chamber applies a force to the liquid inhibiting movement of liquid between the chambers so that the brewing material (34) is isolated from the beverage. In other embodiments, the partition is pressed down through the container after brewing to isolate the brewing material.

French Press
A French press is provided. The French press has a rotating lid having alternative pour options. Replaceable filters on the lid further allow a user to select the desired filter for use. A movable reservoir located within a housing of the French press traps most, if not all, of the coffee grounds from the interior of the French press. A valve plate stops the brewing process. The device may have two filters which are secured by a spring plate on top, and a cross plate below to form a filter assembly, which separates the coffee grounds from the brew. A plunger holds the filter assembly so that when pressed down, filtered coffee is separated from grounds, with the filter assembly acting as a barrier.
INFUSION ASSEMBLY, CONTAINMENT VESSEL PROVIDED WITH SUCH AN INFUSION ASSEMBLY, KIT FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME, AND CORRESPONDING METHODS OF MANUFACTURING, OPERATING AND USE ASSOCIATED THERETO
A containment vessel (1) with integrated infusion capability for infusing a solid substance with a liquid. The containment vessel (1) includes a main containment body (3), a dispensing assembly (5), an infusion assembly (9), a transmission assembly (15), and an actuating assembly (17), the actuating assembly (17) being operatively connectable to the transmission assembly (15) for displacing one of inner and outer infusion components (11,13) with respect to the other via the transmission assembly (15), so as to in turn selectively operate the infusion assembly (9) between active and inactive modes, the actuating assembly (17) being manually operated and having at least one actuating component (17a), such an actuating ring (27), for example, being provided about a peripheral surface of the containment vessel (1).
MARIJUANA BEVERAGE SPIKER AND METHOD
A mesh bag filled with non-decarboxylated marijuana, decarboxylated marijuana and/or marijuana concentrates designed to fit in virtually any beverage container. Once submerged the liquid beverage absorbs the cannabinoids (THC/CBDs) and thereby become psycho-active. The Marijuana Beverage spiker is a food grade mesh bag filled with non-decarboxylated marijuana, decarboxylated marijuana and/or marijuana concentrates. The mesh bag is designed to fit into virtually any pre-existing beverage container and be added to the container by the consumer after purchase. Once submerged in liquid, the marijuana and/or marijuana concentrates in the MBS absorbs into the liquid beverage. The liquid beverage will absorb the cannabinoids (THC/CBDs) and become psycho-active.
