Tea making appliance with filter assembly
A tea maker includes a brewing unit which defines a vessel having an upper opening with a spout disposed thereon. A lid assembly is removeably received on the upper opening of the vessel and includes a steeping tube. The steeping tube extends downwardly from the lid assembly into the vessel when the lid assembly is received on the upper opening of the vessel. An articulating filter assembly is coupled to the lid assembly and includes a filter plate that is operable between an extended position and a retracted position. The filter plate is configured to contact an inner surface of the vessel when the filter plate is in the extended position. A biasing member is configured to bias the filter plate towards the extended position for filtering a brewed tea mixture as the mixture is poured through the upper opening of the vessel.
Coffee and tea brewing system and method
A coffee and tea brewing system includes a carafe assembly including a container configured to hold the brewed coffee or tea; a brewing assembly configured to be selectively coupled to the container of the carafe assembly for brewing of coffee or tea and selectively removed from the container of the carafe assembly when serving the brewed coffee or tea, the brewing assembly comprising a mesh filter assembly configured to allow for separation of the coffee grounds or tea leaves from the brewed coffee or tea, and an agitation mechanism configured to selectively agitate the coffee grounds or tea leaves and associated brewing coffee or tea during brewing; and a heating assembly configured to support the carafe assembly and selectively add heat thereto. The agitation is through manual manipulation of a paddle adjacent the mesh filter assembly. A method of brewing coffee or tea is disclosed using the system.

A disposable packaging form is provided for brewed, hot drinks. The invention allows a user to brew the hot drink, squeeze out the brewed contents, and stir the contents of the hot drink. Each action can be performed multiple times before disposal. In some embodiments, the device of the present invention dispenses sweeteners, creamers, flavorings and condiments. The present invention frees the user of the inconvenience of having to collect, wash, or dispose of the stirrers, squeezers and bags of the hot drink individually.

A lid encloses the first upper end and has a plunger movable relative to the lid, the plunger being movably disposed between the first upper end and the first lower end. The secondary chamber is in fluid communication with the primary chamber via a passage proximate to the first lower end and the second lower end.

The plunger assembly includes a plunger handle and a plunger head and moves the plunger head into the interior space based on a force applied to the plunger handle. The brewing of the beverage is further based on the moving of the plunger head.

An improved French coffee press apparatus, system, and method that utilizes a locking ring to engage with a locking base that can be removed from the carafe, along with any coffee grounds. The locking ring is connected to the pressing rod, which also includes a filter system above the locking ring. The pressing rod fits through an opening in the carafe lid, and the carafe lid secures the liquid inside the carafe. The combination of the filtering system assists in the filtering and capture of any coffee grounds into the locking base for cleaning, and the locking ring assists in the removal of the locking base.
