Thermolysin for easy-cleaning of insect body stains
A substrate or coating is provided that includes a protease with enzymatic activity toward a component of a biological stain. Also provided is a process for facilitating the removal of a biological stain is provided wherein an inventive substrate or coating including a protease is capable of enzymatically degrading of one or more components of the biological stain to facilitate biological stain removal from the substrate or said coating.
BLENDS CONTAINING PROTEASES
Described are compositions, in particular lyophilizates, containing proteolytic enzymes, and methods for producing the compositions. Typically these compositions contain one or more proteases with collagenase activity and a neutral protease, for example, thermolysin. The compositions are free of acetate salts. Surprisingly, such compositions can be dissolved in water more rapidly than lyophilized protease mixtures of the state of the art.
ENZYMATIC WOUND DEBRIDING COMPOSITIONS WITH ENHANCED ENZYMATIC ACTIVITY
The present invention is directed to topical enzymatic wound debriding compositions with enhanced enzymatic activity. These compositions comprise a dispersed phase comprising at least one proteolytic enzyme and at least one hydrophilic polyol; and a continuous phase comprising a hydrophobic base.
NOVEL METALLOPROTEASES
Aspects of the present compositions and methods relate to novel metalloproteases polynucleotides encoding the novel metalloprotease, compositions and methods for use thereof.
Decellularization of Plant Cell Culture Materials for Tissue Engineering and Drug Delivery
Provided herein are enzymatically decellularized cells, and methods of producing said cells, that can be used in a scaffold. The scaffolds featured herein are biocompatible and can comprise decellularized cells that have been modified to express a bioactive agent or molecule.
SYNERGISTIC COMBINATION OF THERMOLYSIN AND AN ANTIBACTERIAL AGENT TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE BACTERIAL BIOFILMS FROM SURFACES
Methods are disclosed for the reduction or elimination of bacterial biofilms on biological and non-biological surfaces, as methods for the treatment of wounds, skin lesions, mucous membrane lesions, and other biological surfaces infected or contaminated with bacterial biofilms using compositions comprising a synergistic combination of thermolysin and at least one aminoglycoside antibacterial agent.

METHODS OF PROCESSING PROTEIN AND RESULTING PRODUCTS
Methods of processing protein, methods of generating products with the processed protein, and products comprising and/or made with the processed protein. The methods of processing protein include hydrolyzing the protein with a proteolytic agent such as thermolysin to generate hydrolyzed peptides and, optionally, crosslinking the hydrolyzed peptides with a transglutaminase to generate crosslinked peptides. The methods reduce the allergenicity of allergenicity proteins such as -lactoglobulin and casein. The methods of generating products with the processed protein include methods of making foams, emulsions, and/or food products with the processed protein. The products comprising and/or made with the processed protein accordingly include foams, emulsions, and food products. The foams, emulsions, and food products have decreased allergenicity compared to corresponding products made with non-processed proteins.
