A cooking environment is described for allocating power between multiple cooking systems and providing a calculated amount of energy to a cooking system. The cooking systems can each include a receptacle and a heating/cooling element to heat a product within the receptacle. A controller can receive requests for power from the cooking systems. Based on the requests for power, the controller allocates an amount of time within a time period in which the heating/cooling elements of each cooking system receive electrical energy. The controller can also allocate specific intervals within the time period in which the heating/cooling elements receive electrical energy.

The ingredient container includes a dispensing mechanism selectively driven to dispense the ingredients from a lower aperture thereof. The base unit includes at least one drive motor, a mixing mechanism, and a dispensing aperture extending through the base unit and configured to allow the quantity of ingredients dispensed from the ingredient container to pass through the base unit to a removable mixing bowl. A grinder for preparing brewing materials has a main casing, a grinding assembly and an unloading assembly to measure the amount of the brewing powder to unload. The unloading assembly has an unloading motor and a measuring barrel. When the user puts the brewing materials into the main casing, the grinding assembly grinds the brewing materials into the brewing powder. The brewing powder drops into the unloading assembly. A beverage preparation machine comprising a beverage ingredient powder storing container and a mixing chamber. The mixing chamber being movable between a dosing position, where the outlet of the storing container emerges in the mixing chamber inlet, and a mixing position, where the outlet of the storing container does not emerge in the mixing chamber inlet. The dosing position being placed at a lower vertical position than the mixing position, and wherein the machine comprises an auger at the bottom of the beverage ingredient powder storing container configured for guiding a dose of powder to the outlet of the storing container. The machine also comprises a door at the outlet of the storing container, the door being configured so that when the mixing chamber moves to the dosing position the movement of the mixing chamber activates the opening of the door and when the mixing chamber moves to the mixing position the movement of the mixing chamber induces the closure of the door.
