An automatic hot beverage preparation machine comprising a hydraulic water supply circuit having a first branch to connect a water source and a water boiler, a second branch to connect the water boiler and a hot beverage dispensing assembly, a third branch to connect the first branch and the second branch, and a valve device to selectively control supply of water in the third branch as a function of a signal from a water temperature sensor arranged to measure water temperature at an outlet of the water boiler.

Systems and methods have demonstrated the capability of rapidly cooling the contents of pods containing the ingredients for food and drinks.

Disclosed are a brewing module and its brewing method. The brewing module is combined with a smart brewing machine for use and includes a brewing control module with an inductive identification unit, and a brewing material package unit with a package and an identification member, and the package contains a brewing material, and the identification member is installed onto the package. The inductive identification unit is used for sensing, recognizing and reading the identification member, and the identification member contains information of the brewing material and information and brewing execution information of the brewing material. In this way, the source of brewing material required for the production of a brewed beverage can be ensured, and errors easily caused by human operations can be avoided, so that the quality of the brewed beverage can be consistent.

The present invention further refers to a system for preparing edible products including a capsule (1), an apparatus for preparing edible products comprising at least one brewing device (10) presenting injection means (13) adapted so that exert a mechanic pressure upon the passageway wall (4) on a region of the passageway wall (4) opposite to the region of weakened material region (41).

A beverage pod for a beverage machine is provided. The beverage pod can include a container having an internal space and a container flange defining an opening to the internal space, a plug sealing the opening of the container, and a cap secured to the container flange. A beverage medium can be located within the internal space of the container. The cap can be operable to selectively engage a portion of the plug to release the beverage medium through the plug and the cap.

A beverage forming method and system arranged to allow a user to adjust a volume and flow rate of liquid provided to a brew chamber so that a dispensed beverage is suitable for mixing with ice, e.g., to form an iced coffee beverage. In some cases, a user may provide input indicating that an iced beverage should be dispensed during a beverage dispensing operation. For example, after a dispensing operation is started to dispense a beverage having a particular volume, a user can adjust the beverage volume to be smaller and suitable for mixing with ice.

A beverage cartridge and method for forming a beverage includes dispensing beverage material from a container into an attached mixing funnel. The container and mixing funnel may be moved toward each other to open the container and release beverage material. A cover of the container may have a movable portion that moves with contact with a part of the mixing funnel to open the container. The cartridge may be vibrated to dispense beverage material from the container, and liquid provided to the mixing funnel to mix with dispensed beverage material to form a beverage.

A system for dispensing fluid is provided in which a first fluid cartridge and a second fluid cartridge each comprise a first spout at corresponding fluid outlets, and wherein a docking location is provided for docking each of the fluid cartridges such that the first spout is adjacent the second spout. The system may further comprise a drop sensor for detecting a number of drops dispensed from the fluid cartridges at a drop detection location. The docking location may define a specific orientation for any cartridge docked at the docking location, and the cartridges may be wedge shaped and may each taper towards their corresponding spouts. A locking brewing device includes a seat body configured to mount a material cup and including a piston chamber with an open end and a closed end, a piston slidably and sealedly arranged in the piston chamber and configured to lock a beverage capsule in the material cup, and a liquid guide piercing tube arranged at a surface of the piston that faces the open end of the piston chamber and being configured to pierce the beverage capsule in the material cup and deliver liquid. The piston and the closed end of the piston chamber form a pressure medium chamber having an opening, and the piston includes a liquid inlet passage in communication with the liquid guide piercing tube.

A beverage dispenser includes a housing and a user interface disposed on a vertical corner of the housing. The user interface includes one or more buttons that are accessible from a front view and a side view of the housing.
