Electrically operated coffee machine, in particular espresso machine or fully automatic coffee machine, having a steam output device that can include a steam lance wherein the steam lance can include a milk inflow which is configured to supply milk into a steam output channel of the steam lance.

An appliance for heating and/or frothing milk, in which steam or a mixture of steam and air acting as a heat carrier is injected into the milk, with the heating unit including an inner steam channel and an outer annular channel for the milk. The outer annular channel coaxially surrounds the inner steam channel, with hot steam or a mixture of steam and air being supplied at an upstream end of the steam channel and with milk being supplied at an upstream end of the annular channel. To improve the heat output and the energy efficiency of the heating unit and to reduce the maintenance requirement, the steam channel and the annular channel are separated from one another, with their downstream ends opening out into an outlet channel for discharging the heated and/or frothed milk.

A froth heater can include an outer case defining an inner cavity, an inlet in fluid communication with the inner cavity, and an outlet in fluid communication with the inner cavity. The froth heater can include a heater core inserted into inner cavity and configured to form a flow path between an inner wall of the outer case and the heater core between the inlet and the outlet. The heater core can include a core cavity configured to receive a heater therein to heat the heater core.

The cooker for producing a chocolate solution according to the present invention includes a steam generating part generating a steam by heating water, a cylindrical member including a jetting port at a lower end for jetting a steam generated by the steam generating part, extending downward to guide the steam to the jetting port, and jetting the steam into a vessel containing a chocolate and a liquid, and a stirring shaft arranged inside the cylindrical member, extending downward, and having a stirring blade attached thereto for stirring the chocolate and the liquid.

Device for heating and emulsifying beverages includes a pump (2), an air and water meeting zone (10), a device for producing steam, and a first conduit (5) for steam mixed with air that communicates with a steam wand (6) adapted to be immersed into a beverage (7) to be heated and emulsified. The device for producing steam includes an instant steam generator (4). The meeting zone (10) is positioned before the instant steam generator (4).

A method for controlling a beverage temperature in a device for heating and/or frothing a beverage is provided which allows to obtain a desired beverage temperature in an accurate and reliable way and to avoid undesired overheating of the beverage. The method provides for calculating an increase of the beverage temperature after closure of a steam valve and for accordingly anticipating the closure of the steam valve, so as to obtain a final temperature that corresponds to the desired, target temperature.
