System for heating and frothing a beverage, a device for heating and frothing a beverage suitable for being used in such a system, a froth wand suitable for being used in such a system and a method of preparing a beverage using such a system
A system for heating and frothing a beverage comprises a device for heating and frothing a beverage and a froth wand. The device for heating and frothing a beverage includes a steamer, a steam conduit connecting the steamer to a steam nozzle and a froth wand holder for removably holding a froth wand. The froth wand is a disposable froth wand and comprises a tubular wall having a steam inlet end comprising a steam inlet, a steam outlet end comprising a steam outlet separate from the steam inlet and a steam channel extending between the steam inlet and the steam outlet. The froth wand holder is arranged for holding the disposable froth wand at least in an operational position in the device for heating and frothing a beverage in which operational position the steam nozzle is in communication with the steam inlet of the disposable froth wand.
STEAM WAND
A steam wand assembly for an espresso machine has features for preventing overheating of the tip of the steam wand. In a first aspect there is provided a steam wand device comprising a metallic main body tube, a steam hose that passes through the tube, the steam hose also passing through a flexible spacer that is within the tube. In a further aspect there is provided a steam wand device comprising a main body tube having a metallic primary tube and a metallic tip, the primary tube and the tip being attached to one another by a polymeric steam nozzle, the nozzle having a central bore that extends from an inlet adjacent to a lower end of a steam hose to an exit opening.
METHOD FOR SWEETENING A MILK-CONTAINING FLUID, DISPENSING DEVICE, SWEETENING UNIT AND USE OF A SWEETENING UNIT
A method for sweetening a milk-containing fluid, in which the milk-containing fluid is passed through a sweetener. To this end, a sweetening unit (1) for a dispensing device (2) can be used, in which a fluid inlet (4) and a fluid outlet (5) are designed such that a fluid flow through the sweetener can be generated. The sweetening unit (1) can preferably be placed removably on a milk outlet (20) of a milk delivery unit (19).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FOAMING A BEVERAGE
Various beverage preparation systems and methods are disclosed. The beverage preparation system can include a container assembly configured to receive beverage, such as a milk. The container assembly can be removably engaged with a base. The container assembly can be temporarily removed from the base to facilitate transport of the beverage residing therein. The container assembly can be configured to receive a flow of steam, air, or additional gasses and vapors when the container assembly is mounted on the base.
STEAM WAND AND METHOD FOR FROTHING MILK
A diffuser (20) for a steam wand (10) for frothing a quantity of milk for the preparation of a beverage, wherein said diffuser (20) is configured to be connected to a steam wand (10) which receives steam from a steam tank and/or from a steam generator, wherein said diffuser (20) comprises a longitudinal axis (22) and a plurality of steam outlet holes (21), each having an outlet hole axis (23), wherein at least one outlet hole (21) has its axis (23) which is skew with respect to said longitudinal axis (22) of the diffuser (20).
Apparatus and method for frothing milk
A jug for use with a frothing apparatus. The jug comprising: a vessel body for holding a liquid to be heated; a handle attached to the vessel body, the handle for holding the jug; a user interface for receiving an operation-related user input; a communication means adapted to communicate data associated with the jug to the frothing apparatus; and a controller for controlling the user interface and the communication means. In an embodiment, The frothing apparatus comprises: a steam heater, a steam nozzle, and a steam path providing fluid communication from the steam heater to the steam nozzle for delivering heating steam to the jug; communication means adapted to receive operating data from a cooperating communication means associated with the jug, the data comprising an operation-related user input; and a controller for controlling operation of the steam heater and the steam path based on the operation-related user input.
MILK FROTHING METHOD, SYSTEM, AND APPARATUS
A milk-frothing apparatus for preparing high quality micro-foamed milk for coffee drinks consistently and at high volume. A machine having one or more steaming stations includes an elevator at each station with an elevator-mounted steaming wand have a precise angle at the discharge end. The elevator-mounted steaming wand is configured to travel from an upward stowed status to a downward deployed status to insert the discharge end of the elevator-mounted steaming wand into milk inside a pitcher precisely located on the machine. A steam boiler is hydraulically coupled to the elevator-mounted steam wand via flexible tubing and an infrared sensor monitors the temperature of the pitcher during a downward deployed status. An LCD screen with operator controls and displays oriented to coincide spatially with the elevator indicate different operational settings selected by the user and related to machine operation.
COFFEE MACHINE
