A paper-based cooking container providing improved product browning is disclosed, wherein the container includes a base, a sidewall and, optionally, a rim, and wherein a portion of the base has been modified through densification of the paper-based material. The container preferably includes both densified and undensified paper-based material.

A disposable pan has an imperforate bottom in a rectangular configuration with front, rear, and side edges. Sides extend upwardly from the bottom. The sides have free upper ends forming an upper opening. A grill has a periphery in a rectangular configuration. The periphery has a front wire, a rear wire, and side wires. The grill has a plurality of central wires. The central wires extend between the front wire and the rear wire and between and parallel with the side wires. The grill has support wires extending between the front and rear wires adjacent to and parallel with each side wire. Each support wire has downwardly extending bends forming legs positioned on the bottom of the pan. The grill has transverse wires with ends coupled to the side wires. Each wire is formed of aluminum foil in a spiral cross sectional configuration.

A cooking device includes food container having food and food spaces in food, and a bottom of food container is provided with openings. The cooking device includes steam generator in its body, and steam generated from steam generator is ejected from a plurality of steam outlet ports provided in steam supply. Steam is introduced into food container through openings of food container disposed opposite to steam outlet ports, and thus food is heated by steam.

A disposable container to receive a plate of food therein and to prevent splatter in a microwave, the disposable container including a main body to receive the plate of food therein, the main body including a plate receiving aperture disposed at a side portion of the main body, through which the plate of food is insertable, and a turntable aperture disposed at a front portion of the main body to correspond to a turntable of the microwave, such that the plate of food contact the turntable directly and turns along with a turning of the turntable while the main body remains stationary.

A cooking cartridge including a bottom and a sidewall forming a vessel having a cavity. Food matter is contained in the cavity and a lid closes the cavity such that the food matter is retained in the cavity when the lid is closed and such that the food matter is removable from the cavity when the lid is opened. The vessel containing a non-ferrous material which is a conductive or resistive material. In some embodiments, the non-ferrous material is aluminum.
