POT LID
The invention relates to a pot lid (10) for a household cooking pot, comprising a conical main body (12) having a lid edge (28) designed to interact with the top edge of a cooking pot or pan, which main body (12) has a central through-opening (14), wherein the lid bottom side (15) of the pot lid (10) has a downwardly projecting spiral guide wall (26) which extends from the lid edge to the through-opening (14), and which pot lid (10) has, on its lid top side (13), a channel (30) which is connected to the through-opening (14), extends at least over part of the lid radius towards the lid edge (28) and is open towards the lid edge.
Adaptable cooking apparatus
A cooking apparatus that combines microwave based heating/cooking with either of blender/mixer grinder functionality and traditional cooking using open flame and/or induction cooking is disclosed. The cooking apparatus comprises a lid and at least one microwave producing device coupled to the lid. A lifting and lowering mechanism carries the lid and microwave producing device at a lower end for enabling vertically raising and lowering the lid along with the coupled microwave producing device. Upper end of lifting and lowering mechanism is slidably configured with a lower side of a chimney. Lid in lowered position gets operatively coupled with a container holding a food item. The container can be one for cooking food using conventional source of heat, or a container for preparatory operations such as blending, stirring, grinding and mixing. Coupling of the lid with the containers enables heating of the contents of the container through the microwaves generated by the at least one microwave producing device.
EGG COOKER
An egg cooker includes a base band shaped to be placed on a cooking surface. A cover is connected to the base band. A tunnel within the cover is sized to allow contents of an opened egg to be poured through the tunnel and onto the cooking surface. A length of the tunnel is selected so that when the cover is mounted on the cooking surface, a base at a bottom of the tunnel is elevated over the cooking surface to a height that allows a white of the opened egg to pass under the base of the tunnel to the cooking surface under the cover, while retaining a top of a yolk of the opened egg within an inside circumference of the tunnel.
SPLATTER CONTROL APPARATUS WITH TENSION RING AND METHOD
A splatter control apparatus for covering foodstuffs during cooking, having a flexible tension ring member, a frame member and replaceable disposable splatter control element. The frame is configured to cradle the ring member and the splatter control element, also is suited to rest on the top edge of any size and shape cooking vessel. The flexible ring member configured substantially to be properly held inside the inner side of the frame member securing the replaceable disposable splatter element between the ring member and the frame member during a cooking process thereby performs as a splatter control and filtration means. After use, the disposable splatter element is easily discarded creating minimal waste due to its negligible material content, averting the need for messy cleanup.
Paired stackable cookware lids
A paired set of cookware lids is configured to stack on each other and on cookware items. Each lid is configured to cover the other lid, with one lid in the upright position and the other in an inverted position, making it possible to stack both lids on one cookware container, with a first lid covering the container in the inverted position, and the second lid stacked on the first lid in the upright position. The lids are provided with multifunctional rims, having a flat annular shelf an outer rim extending in a perpendicular direction from the upper side of the annular shelf, and an inner rim extends in the opposite perpendicular direction from the lower side of the annular shelf.
Lid assembly for stove top convection cooking
A lid assembly that can be placed on a pan having a bottom surface that is configured for placement on a burner of the stove top with one or more foods to be cooked supported above an inner bottom surface of the pan by a rack. The lid assembly covers the pan and thereby encloses the one or more foods to be cooked and the rack within a cavity defined by the pan and the lid assembly. An air flow generator mounted on a shaft that extends through a cover portion of the lid from a motor disposed on an opposite side of the cover portion rotates the shaft to produce airflow within the cavity. The lid assembly cooks foods in less time and using less energy than normally required with a conventional oven.
Divided Cooking Device with a Lid
A divided cooking device with a lid including a base having at least one side wall rising vertically from the base. The base and the at least one sidewall create an interior volume. A plurality of dividers is located within the interior volume such that each divider rises vertically from the base. The dividers connect to the at least on sidewall and create a plurality of different cooking sections. The different cooking sections have a combination of different cooking surfaces and cooking materials. The device has a lid that is configured to fit around the top edge of the at least one side wall.
Splatter screen
A splatter screen includes a splatter screen frame and a mesh secured to the frame. A handle is mounted to the frame for pivotal movement so that it is positionable between a collapsed position for storage and an extended position for grasping. The handle includes a handle base, enabling the screen to rest upright on a countertop and to be supported by the handle base and the frame.
PAN WITH A MOVABLE SPLATTER PREVENTION DEVICE
The present pan is adapted to prevent sideways splatters of fat, namely horizontal splatters, and splatters of fat traveling from the bottom upwards, namely vertical splatters, and is also adapted to allow the pan to be covered with a lid, which is held suspended three centimeters above the edge of the pan to allow air to enter the pan, without smothering the frying food or causing water to form at the bottom of the pan.
Method of Cooking Utilizing a Splatter Shield
A method of cooking utilizes a splatter shield to control grease splatter from food being cooked within a cooking vessel. The splatter shield includes a generally annular sidewall that slopes upwardly and radially inwardly from a lower rim to an upper rim. The upper rim of the splatter shield defines an upper opening in the splatter shield that is sufficiently large to permit the introduction of a cooking utensil therethrough, and the lower rim defines a lower opening in the splash shield. The upper opening in the splatter shield is smaller than the lower opening.
