20180035842 · 2018-02-08 ·

A lid assembly that can be placed on a pan having a bottom surface that is configured for placement on a burner of the stove top with one or more foods to be cooked supported above an inner bottom surface of the pan by a rack. The lid assembly covers the pan and thereby encloses the one or more foods to be cooked and the rack within a cavity defined by the pan and the lid assembly. An air flow generator mounted on a shaft that extends through a cover portion of the lid from a motor disposed on an opposite side of the cover portion rotates the shaft to produce airflow within the cavity. The lid assembly cooks foods in less time and using less energy than normally required with a conventional oven.

A disposable, non-absorbent cooking utensil is described for selectively covering foodstuffs in stovetop, microwave, oven, slow-roaster, crockpot, griddle or grill-top cooking operations. The entire cover, with integrated handle, has sufficient wet-strength and rigidity to maintain its shape and integrity so as to be easily removable and replaceable during cooking. The cover is made of a non-absorbent and optionally fire-resistant material that is permeable enough to allow steam to escape while still containing grease splatter and cooking liquids within the cooking vessel, thereby preventing boil-over or foaming of liquids (as can be caused by starch when cooking pasta and potatoes, etc.) and promoting a cooking environment similar to uncovered frying or cooking; enabling thickening and frying, etc. The material of the cover is also sufficiently resistant to the conduction of heat that the integrated handle does not get so hot during operation that it prevents easy grasping and lifting without getting burned. Once used, the entire cover is easily discarded creating minimal waste due to its minimal material content, obviating the need for messy cleanup.

A method of cooking utilizes a splatter shield to control grease splatter from food being cooked within a cooking vessel. The splatter shield includes a generally annular sidewall that slopes upwardly and radially inwardly from a lower rim to an upper rim. The upper rim of the splatter shield defines an upper opening in the splatter shield that is sufficiently large to permit the introduction of a cooking utensil therethrough, and the lower rim defines a lower opening in the splash shield. The upper opening in the splatter shield is smaller than the lower opening.

20260096688 · 2026-04-09 ·

The invention described here meets to solve the problem of removing grease from the everyday food being cooked, while ensuring even and quick cook times. The Baconator Pan is a everyday use pan with an elevated cooking surface, grease troth and cover that contains the food and grease. The pan lid created a small amount of pressure on the food and cooking surface to ensure a quicker, more even cook. This function also allows for the grease to be removed freely from the food being without needing to drain during the cooking process. Healthier, tastier finished foods can be served without having to ingest the grease absorbed during cooking. This is not something that currently exists and it improves on all flat pan designs by having an elevated cook surface and integrated troth to quickly remove any grease.
