A cooking and draining system includes: a vessel including a bottom and an upstanding side wall forming an interior region of the vessel and an opening opposite the bottom of the vessel, the vessel further including: a heating element located in one of the bottom and the side wall; a valve located in one of the bottom and the side wall, the valve selectively controlling outflow of fluid from the interior region of the vessel; a lid selectively sealing the opening opposite the bottom of the vessel; and a base selectively coupled to the vessel and selectively causing the heating element to heat the interior region of the vessel.

Examples are disclosed herein that relate to a cooking system. One example provides a cooking system including a body supporting a cooking surface, a grease trap receptacle positioned within the body, the grease trap receptacle including an opening to an outside of the body, a grease drain located adjacent to the cooking surface, the grease drain opening into the grease trap receptacle such that the grease drain and the grease trap receptacle define a watertight passage for water to flow from the cooking surface to the opening, and a grease trap movably positioned within the opening of the grease trap receptacle.

Examples are disclosed herein that relate to a cooking system. One example provides a cooking system including a body supporting a cooking surface, a grease trap receptacle positioned within the body, the grease trap receptacle including an opening to an outside of the body, a grease drain located adjacent to the cooking surface, the grease drain opening into the grease trap receptacle such that the grease drain and the grease trap receptacle define a watertight passage for water to flow from the cooking surface to the opening, and a grease trap movably positioned within the opening of the grease trap receptacle.

The present invention relates to a kitchen utensil or device, specifically a strainer, which is constructed and adapted to attach by removable means to the side of a pan, pot, or bowl, to provide a convenient means to allow for the separation of solid food product from liquid. The strainer comprising a generally planar top surface, having a plurality of small gauge holes, slits, or openings in its surface. The holes being effective to allow a liquid to pass through the surface of the utensil while retaining the solid food product. The device is attachable by means of a clip to the rim of an existing pan, pot, or bowl.

A cookware assembly including a cooking vessel with a vessel side wall and an elongated handle extending outwardly from the sidewall, a cover, an opening in at least one of the vessel side wall and the cover in an area above the elongated handle, and a utensil, where the handle of the utensil rests in relation to the elongated handle and the opening permits the utensil component to reside in the interior of the covered cooking vessel when the cover is on the cooking vessel. In this solution, the cooking appliance is additionally provided with the water container, which is detachably installed on the water retaining surface, the upper cover is opened after the cooking appliance finishes cooking, condensed water mixed with food residue or soup flows onto the water retaining surface from the upper cover and then flows into the water container along the water retaining surface.
