A cooking apparatus includes a base, a cover with a hot air system, an inner pot, an upper temperature sensor located in the lid, and a lower temperature sensor located in the base. A processor is configured to operate in one of multiple cooking modes, and for each of the cooking modes the processor is configured to measure an upper and a lower temperature using the upper and the lower temperature sensor, respectively; compare the upper and the lower temperature to an upper and a lower temperature sensor setting, respectively; when the upper temperature differs from the upper temperature sensor setting, adjust power to the hot air heating element such that the upper temperature approaches the upper temperature sensor setting; and when the lower temperature differs from the lower temperature sensor setting, adjust power to the heating plate such that the lower temperature approaches the lower temperature sensor setting.

An assembly for preparing and/or cooking food for a kitchen appliance, includes at least in a first configuration: a bowl for preparing and/or cooking food including a first cooking and/or preparation inner volume, the bowl further having at least one handle extending outside of the first inner volume, a cooking basket shaped so as to be positioned inside the first cooking inner volume, the cooking basket having a second cooking inner volume, the basket having at least one gripping member, a cap shaped so as to close the first volume. The assembly has a housing configured to house at least partially the gripping member of the basket, the housing being arranged outside the first inner volume and outside the second inner volume.

A turkey cooking apparatus provides a pot and a specially configured insert (e.g., basket) that rests upon the pot bottom. A lower funnel shaped section and upper tube shaped section are provided inside the pot. The insert (e.g., basket) sits upon funnel shaped portion. The insert has a central opening that is receptive of the tubed portion. Both the insert and the tube section can have openings that enable steam to travel upwardly to cook the turkey carcass.

A turkey cooking apparatus provides a pot and a specially configured insert (e.g., basket) that rests upon the pot bottom. A lower funnel shaped section and upper tube shaped section are provided inside the pot. The insert (e.g., basket) sits upon funnel shaped portion. The insert has a central opening that is receptive of the tubed portion. Both the insert and the tube section can have openings that enable steam to travel upwardly to cook the turkey carcass.

The invention relates to a basket (1) for cooking food for a cooking utensil designed to cook the food in an atmosphere charged with steam, said basket (1) having a bottom (6) that is permeable to steam and an upper annular side wall (8) extending upwards from said bottom (6) so as to co-operate therewith to form a receptacle for receiving said food, said basket being characterized in that it further has a lower annular side wall (9) extending downwards from said bottom (6), said lower annular side wall (9) being shaped to channel the steam towards said bottom (6) so that the steam channeled in this way passes at least locally through said bottom (6).

A first handle is coupled to the annular wall proximate to the top. A lid, which is complementary to the top, is selectively couplable to each of the plurality of pots. A second handle is coupled to the lid. The first threaded sections are positioned to threadedly couple to respective second threaded sections, wherein the plurality of pots is mutually coupled in a vertical configuration. The lid is positioned to couple to a respective first threaded section.

An interlocking cookware assembly that is interlocking and stackable includes a plurality of pots. Each pot comprises an annular wall that defines a top, which is open, and a bottom, which is closed. A first threaded section is positioned on an interior of the annular wall adjacent to the top. A second threaded section, complementary to the first threaded section, is positioned on an exterior of the annular wall adjacent to the bottom. A first handle is coupled to the annular wall proximate to the top. A lid, which is complementary to the top, is selectively couplable to each of the plurality of pots. A second handle is coupled to the lid. The first threaded sections are positioned to threadedly couple to respective second threaded sections, wherein the plurality of pots is mutually coupled in a vertical configuration. The lid is positioned to couple to a respective first threaded section.

A cooking pot assembly includes a pot that may contain a fluid. The pot has a bottom wall that is hingedly coupled to an outer wall. Thus, the pot may selectively drain the fluid. A strainer is coupled to the pot. The strainer may retain food items in the pot when the fluid is drained from the pot. A pair of handles is provided. Each of the handles is coupled to the pot and each of the handles may be manipulated. A trigger is coupled to the pot and the trigger may be manipulated. The trigger is in mechanical communication with the bottom wall of the pot. The trigger urges the bottom wall between the open position and the closed position when the trigger is manipulated.
