Apparatus for thawing frozen food and for chilling hot food
A method for defrosting frozen foods by recycling the water that is used to defrost the frozen foods. Food is first placed inside of a container and then water is pumped from the bottom of the container where the water is heated and by use of a pump and natural rise of heat allowed to flow around the food.
Chafing Dish
The present invention relates to a more efficient chafing dish basin or Bain Marie for the hotel/catering and hospitality industry, that has a first exterior basin with a heating element, a second basin comprising an insulating base, one or more heat conductive layers and a third food basin. The first exterior basin has a heating element that extends through the insulation base, and heat conductive layer(s) to contact the bottom of the food basin. The heating element can be heated by naked flames or electrically. Sufficient heat is transferred to the food basin to obviate the need for water or allows for significantly less water to be used, increasing the safety profile of these chafing dishes.
Food warming container
A food warming device is shown and described. The food warming device includes a container having a base and at least one sidewall rising therefrom creating an interior volume. A removable lid section is secured to the end of the at least one sidewall opposite the base wherein the base, the at least one sidewall, and the removable lid include an insulative property. The interior volume of the container is partially filled with a volume of hot liquid. A handle is secured to the at least one sidewall adjacent to the removable lid.
GRIDDLE HAVING INTERNAL RESERVOIR FOR LIQUID HEAT TRANSFER MEDIUM
A griddle configured for use with a liquid heating medium includes a griddle plate and a reservoir body coupled to the griddle plate. The reservoir body and griddle plate collectively define a reservoir configured to receive a liquid heating medium. A port is in fluid communication with the reservoir, with the port being open to the atmosphere to facilitate maintaining of the reservoir at atmospheric pressure. A heat element is in thermal communication with the reservoir and is configured to impart heat to the liquid heating medium located within the reservoir.
Container for receiving, storing and serving food
The invention relates to a container for receiving, keeping warm and/or serving food, wherein the container comprises a base body that can be closed by means of a lid. According to one aspect, a brake is provided, which brakes a closing movement of the lid. According to another aspect, a connecting module for connecting the lid to the base body is provided, wherein the connecting module is detachably connected both to the lid and to the base body.
