Chafing dish
The present invention relates to a more efficient chafing dish basin or Bain Marie for the hotel/catering and hospitality industry, that has a first exterior basin with a heating element, a second basin comprising an insulating base, one or more heat conductive layers and a third food basin. The first exterior basin has a heating element that extends through the insulation base, and heat conductive layer(s) to contact the bottom of the food basin. The heating element can be heated by naked flames or electrically. Sufficient heat is transferred to the food basin to obviate the need for water or allows for significantly less water to be used, increasing the safety profile of these chafing dishes.

Examples are disclosed herein that relate to a cooking system. One example provides a cooking system including a body supporting a cooking surface, a grease trap receptacle positioned within the body, the grease trap receptacle including an opening to an outside of the body, a grease drain located adjacent to the cooking surface, the grease drain opening into the grease trap receptacle such that the grease drain and the grease trap receptacle define a watertight passage for water to flow from the cooking surface to the opening, and a grease trap movably positioned within the opening of the grease trap receptacle.

Examples are disclosed herein that relate to a cooking system. A cooking grate assembly configured for use on a portable radiant heater with a front safety grille. The cooking grate assembly has a flat main cooking grate with an upper/inner end and a lower/outer end, a pair of spaced hook tabs extending from the upper/inner end of the grate that attach to an upper part of the grille, and a pair of inwardly-angled key tabs extending from the lower/outer end of the grate. A pair of detachable legs supports the grate from a lower part of the grille, with a rotatable locking connection to the key tabs on the grate at one end and opposed inner and outer hooks at the other end that both support the grate on the grille and provide a nesting flat interlock to the rear face of the grate for storage.

Protective cover member
A protective cover member is a four-walled shield which would serve as a wind blocker, preventing gusts of wind from extinguishing Sternos heaters which are heating a chafing dish. At the same time, the protective cover member would keep the Sterno flames contained within the unit, reducing the risk of fire while also allowing for more effective food warming. In addition, convenient handles would permit users to attend to the Sternos without fear of burning their hands.
