A metering apparatus (1) for metering frozen piece goods, comprising a housing (10) which defines a refrigerated chamber (11), wherein a piece goods container (3), a first conveyor unit (4), and a weighing unit (5) are arranged in the refrigerated chamber (11), wherein piece goods can be transported from the piece goods container (3) via the first conveyor unit (4) to the weighing unit (5), wherein an airlock (13) is arranged below the weighing unit (5), through which piece goods can pass out of the refrigerated chamber (11).
AUTOMATIC FRYER WITH OIL-BASED PRODUCT MOVEMENT AND REDUCED OIL VOLUME
A cooking system in the form of a fryer is provided to reduce and/or optimize the amount of cooking medium required to operate the fryer, while improving the reliability of movement of food product through the cooking system during a cooking process. To this end, the cooking vat of the system is designed with one or more heating elements positioned to avoid generation of turbulent flow in the cooking medium. Moreover, the movement of food product along the cooking vat and/or out of the cooking vat is done reliably and in such a manner to avoid turbulent flow in the cooking medium. The automatic cooking system provides improved cooking medium life span as well as reduced overall oil volume use.
Mechanical filter for fryer and filtering membrane support for same
A mechanical filter for a deep fryer having a fry pot. The mechanical filter comprises a filtering membrane support comprising a plurality of links pivotally connected to one another. The filtering membrane support has a longitudinal axis. The mechanical filter also comprises a filtering membrane engageable with the plurality of links and defining transversally extending particle retaining cavities therewith. The filtering membrane extends along the longitudinal axis of the filtering membrane support. A filtering membrane support is also provided.
PRESSURE ASSIST METHOD FOR PRESSURE FRYER
Methods for adjusting the pressure in a cooking chamber of a pressure fryer are provided. The pressure inside the cooking chamber is determined in response to detecting closure of a valve that vents the cooking chamber. The pressure in the chamber is compared to a predetermined pressure. If the pressure in the chamber is less than the predetermined pressure, a pressure assist system is activated. The pressure assist system includes an air pump and/or pressure source, and when activated, supplies a gas to the cooking chamber to increase the pressure in the cooking chamber. The pressure may be determined at a predetermined time after closure of the valve, and an amount of gas to be added to the cooking chamber determined based on a difference between the measured pressure and the predetermined pressure.
COOKING OIL DISPOSAL ASSEMBLY
A cooking oil disposal assembly includes a pot for receiving used cooking oil. A filter is removably positionable in the pot and the filter is comprised of a fluid permeable material to filter particles from the used cooking oil. A cover is hingedly coupled to the pot and the cover is positionable between a closed position and an open position. A bowl is removably positionable in the cover and the bowl is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to capture the used cooking oil. The bowl is disposed of when the bowl is removed from the pot to facilitate the used cooking oil to be disposed without pouring the used cooking oil down sewer pipes. A blower is coupled to the cover and the blower urging air upwardly onto the bowl when the blower is turned on to cool the used cooking oil in the bowl.
Pressure assist feature for pressure fryer
Systems and methods for adjusting the pressure in a cooking chamber of a pressure fryer. A robotic kitchen assistant for frying includes a robotic arm, a fryer basket, and a robotic arm adapter assembly allowing the robotic arm to pick up and manipulate the fryer basket. The robotic arm adapter includes opposing gripping members to engage the fryer basket. A utensil adapter assembly is mounted to the handle of the fryer basket, and the opposing gripper members are actuated to capture a three-dimensional (3D) feature of the utensil adapter assembly. The robotic arm adapter assembly can include an agitator mechanism to shake the fryer basket or another utensil as desired. Related methods are also described.

A robot system includes a robot arm configured to tilt a fry basket in a first direction or in a second direction different from the first direction or lift up or lower the fry basket and a controller configured to perform a residue removal mode in which the robot arm rotates and moves the fry basket to a set residue removal path in which residue in a fryer is sifted out.
Filter screen modification to improve filtration performance
A fryer apparatus includes a cooking chamber to hold cooking medium and cook food products within, a filter pan removably attached to the cooking chamber, a tube connecting the filter pan to the cooking chamber, and a pump configured to circulate cooking medium. The filter pan has a bottom wall surrounded by four side walls and an inlet passage configured to receive cooking medium into the filter pan. A filter element is removably attached to the bottom wall of filter pan and extends in a lateral direction along a length of the fryer apparatus and may have two bends spaced laterally from each other. A plug may be attached to the filter element and an outlet passage attached to the plug and configured to discharge the cooking medium.
