Backguard panel with integrated proud glass control mount

Provided is a backguard panel for an appliance with an integrated front-mounted proud-glass control unit. An opening is defined within the front wall of the backguard panel has for receiving the control unit. A recessed seat, configured to receive a sealing gasket for sealing the space between the control unit and the backguard panel, surrounds the opening. The control unit has a housing suspended from a proud glass pane that protrudes forward of the front wall of the backguard panel when the housing is fully inserted into the opening. Rearwardly projecting brackets establish a friction fit to temporarily hold the control unit in place until fasteners can be installed to apply a compressive force on the sealing gasket between the glass pane and the backguard panel. A cooking appliance with a backguard panel with an integrated front-mounted proud-glass control unit is also provided.

FRYING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF REAL-TIMELY DETECTING TOTAL POLAR MATERIAL CONCENTRATION OF OIL
20180116459 · 2018-05-03 ·

A frying apparatus includes a main body, a frying vat, a fry basket and a detection module. The frying vat located on the main body has a first polar plate. The fry basket includes a basket frame and a second polar plate. When the fry basket is positioned inside the frying vat, the second polar plate is parallel to and separated from the first polar plate to form an equivalent capacitor. The detection module is electrically connected with the first and second polar plates. When the first and second polar plates are dipped in the oil contained inside the frying vat, the detection module detects a capacitance of the equivalent capacitor, then a corresponding dielectric constant of the oil is obtained by evaluating the capacitance and at least one coupling condition, and further a corresponding total polar material concentration of the oil with respect to the dielectric constant can be deduced.

GREASE CATCHER
20180103801 · 2018-04-19 ·

A grease catcher apparatus for a frying apparatus can include a support assembly for positioning under the frying apparatus. The support assembly can be configured to receive a removable tray for catching grease from the frying apparatus. The grease catcher apparatus can also include at least one side wall extending generally upwardly from the support assembly. In some embodiments, the side wall may slope toward the removable tray, e.g., for directing the grease into the tray. In some embodiments, the support assembly may include a first support segment and a second support segment positionable across from one another, where each support segment has a base ledge, e.g., for supporting opposite sides of the removable tray. In some embodiments, the support assembly may include a partial enclosure defining an opening for permitting passage of grease, e.g., from the frying apparatus to the removable tray.

FILTER PAD

A filter pad is described herein. The filter pad can include carbon and a fibrous material. The filter pad can be used to filter contaminated edible oil. For example, the filter pad can be used to remove total polar molecules and lovibond color red from used cooking oil.

Bulk product dispenser

An improved dispenser unit for dispensing bulk food items, including a cabinet having at least one hopper having a drum with product compartments, a deflector and flexible gate valve, a dispense assembly, and a control system. The dispense assembly may or may not include one or more belts and/or sensors. The product compartments include flexible and/or elastic membranes, which dynamically change the effective product storage volume within a compartment, and eliminate rigid or semi-rigid pinch points between the drum and drum compartment. A product flow divider may be positioned above the receiving container in the dispense assembly, said divider configured to cause the dispensed product to divide into two or more flow streams into the receiving container. The receiving container may be vibrated or oscillated.

Provided are a moisture control apparatus, a moisture control method, a program, a storage medium, a produced object, a product, an apparatus, and a facility that can improve the characteristics of an object through moisture control. In a moisture control apparatus according to one aspect of the present invention, a predetermined voltage or current including a DC component and/or an AC component is applied to at least one electrode that generates at least one of an electric field, a magnetic field, an electromagnetic field, electromagnetic waves, sound waves, and ultrasonic waves to achieve a bonded state of moisture elements in an object disposed to face the electrode, so that a property of the object is able to be improved.

Food Stuff Dispensing Machine and Dehydrated Foodstuff Container
20180064287 · 2018-03-08 ·

A stand alone container for housing dehydrated foodstuff and for use in a foodstuff machine has a continuous sidewall with first and second ends forming a storage area. A piston is complementarily positioned within the sidewall proximate the first end and is slidable with respect to the sidewall. The container contains dehydrated foodstuff located in the storage area and a removable cover positioned proximate the second end. The foodstuff machine includes a machine housing having an access opening for receiving the container having dehydrated foodstuff therein. A hydrating and positioning system moves from a loading position when the container is in the access opening to a hydrating position with the container second end above the first end and then to a transfer position where the first end is positioned above the second end. A liquid dispenser is positioned above the container when the container is in the hydrating position. The foodstuff machine has a transfer arm having an operative end for receiving the container and is movable from a first position that supports the container in the transfer position to an extrusion position where the container is located over a cooking station. A piston rod is operatively associated with the piston in the container and moves to force the piston toward the second end of the container to force hydrated foodstuff through the die to form uncooked strips which drop into the cooking station.

MECHANICAL ARM FOR A STIR-FRYING ACTION IN COOKING
20180055285 · 2018-03-01 ·

A mechanical arm and an operation system to perform a stir-frying action in cooking. The mechanical arm has motors and a plurality of links connecting with a pan. The links length and the binding angle are limited according to the pan action and the chefs' wrist through sum of sine function. In the other hands, weight and viscosity are different between different food materials. The operation system further controls the parameters, which include the velocity, the speed ratio of forward and backward, the rising time, the angel region of motor and the initial angle offset of pan, to adjust the action of mechanical arm performing the stir-flying action. It is suitable to decrease the time of food cooking and the hand burden. Therefore, the chefs can have more time to produce pre-treatment or post-production.
