A portable manual grinder has a driving section, a grinding section and a discharging section coaxially connected from top to bottom. The driving section has a drive shaft that drives a central axis of the grinding section. The drive shaft is connected to a gear set that increases the gear ratio to facilitate manual grinding. The grinding section comprises an upper grinding section and a lower grinding section that are coaxially disposed and mated together. The upper and lower grinding portions include corresponding blades extending therefrom. The bottom section of the lower grinding section has one or more holes in communication with the discharge section. The driving section and the upper grinding section are magnetically attracted and connected to each other and the upper grinding section and the lower grinding section are magnetically attracted and connected to each other.

The grinder includes a cutter having wall blades projecting from a chamber-defining wall toward a central axis of the chamber; a motor-driven shaft rotatable about the central axis, and shaft blades projecting radially from the shaft. The grinder includes conical bun members with an adjustable gap for coarseness. Even when the grinder section and the holder section are attached to each other, the wrapper is user-accessible if the holder is in its non-aligned position.

A grinder for grinding beans of plant-based products and generating a ground powder can include: a grinding chamber; a wheel motor having a shaft defining an axial direction; a rotating grinding wheel and a stationary grinding wheel housed in the grinding chamber, wherein the rotating grinding wheel is connected to the shaft of the wheel motor and is configured to rotate around the axial direction, and wherein the stationary grinding wheel is stationary against rotation and is configured to axially move in both ways in the axial direction; and a device for resetting position of the rotating and stationary grinding wheels. The device can include: a mechanism for axially moving the stationary grinding wheel; an electric motor, coupled to the mechanism, for actuating the mechanism; and a way to stop the electric motor as soon as a contact state is detected between the stationary and rotating grinding wheels.

A grinding machine for grinding herbs is provided, and can include a vertical-oriented vessel with a substantially horizontal separating screen disposed in the vessel, creating a grinding chamber above and a collecting chamber below. Rotating blades in the grinding chamber rotate above the screen where dried herbs placed in the grinding chamber are ground into smaller pieces by the rotating blade that can descend through openings disposed through the screen to accumulate in the collecting chamber. A lid enclosing the vessel can further include a feed chute for feeding dried herbs into the machine while it is operating.

A grinding cup for a blade coffee grinder, includes a bottom wall; a sidewall extending upwardly from the bottom wall and defining an upper opening which is to receive coffee beans; a removable lid, the removable lid having a lower surface at least substantially covering the upper opening; wherein the lower surface includes a plurality of downwardly projecting ribs configured to promote movement of coffee grinds towards the interior of the grinding cup.

A grinding cup for a blade coffee grinder, includes a bottom wall; a sidewall extending upwardly from the bottom wall and defining an upper opening which is to receive coffee beans; a removable lid, the removable lid having a lower surface at least substantially covering the upper opening; wherein the lower surface includes a plurality of downwardly projecting ribs configured to promote movement of coffee grinds towards the interior of the grinding cup.
