A grinder for plant substances includes a first surface and an opposing second surface that is separated from the first surface by a first longitudinal gap so that the first surface and the second surface define a receptacle within which a plant substance may be received. The second surface includes holes through which ground pieces of the plant substance may pass and at least one of the first surface and the second surface includes bumps that extend into, but not across, the receptacle. The bumps encourage rolling friction between the plant substance and the bumps so that the plant substance is ground into pieces small enough to pass through the holes.

Device for grinding and mixing of herbs and/or tobacco and/or spices, preparing and dispensing of cigarettes and method for the application thereof The subject of the invention is a device for grinding and mixing of herbs and/or tobacco and/or spices, preparing and dispensing of cigarettes, the device comprising a grinding chamber (2) for holding and grinding the herbs and/or tobacco and/or spices, wherein the grinding chamber (2) has a plurality of tubes (9) for holding pre-rolled cigarette papers (17) and receiving ground herbs and/or tobacco and/or spices, a carousel (10), which is rotatable around a central axis (16). The device further comprises a mixing chamber (5) for mixing the herbs and/or tobacco and/or spices, which is located below the grinding chamber (2), a mixing unit (4) located in the mixing chamber (5), at least one door (7) on the carousel cover (8) for dispensing one tube (9) or a plurality of tubes (9) with the filled pre-rolled cigarette paper (17), wherein the carousel (10) comprises a plurality of tube holders (14) for holding the tubes (9). The present invention involves a device and system for grinding herbs, tobacco, leaves and the like. The herb grinder system herein includes a snap together configuration. The lid is provided with magnets positioned around an upper shoulder. These magnets cooperate with secondary magnets positioned around the upper perimeter of the body to hold the lid in place for use, and when not being used for grinding. The bottom portion of the body is provided with a second storage pilot that includes a cup seal. The cup seal is constructed to allow the storage container to be slipped over the pilot and retained in position by friction provided by the cup seal, even when filled with tobacco or the like from the grinder. Removal of the storage container simply requires the user to pull the storage container away from the body.

The arms each include upper and lower tabs that extend inwardly into the open receiving area first and second distances, respectively. The first and second distances of the upper and lower tabs are configured to retain and support portafilter assemblies of various sizes for filling with coffee grounds using the coffee grinder apparatus. Another holder assembly for use with the coffee grinding apparatus may include opposed abutment surfaces for engaging inner and outer surfaces of a cup portion of various sized portafilter assemblies. Each disclosed holder assembly is configured to attach to a pedestal portion of the coffee grinding apparatus in use, and can be stored in a support base of the coffee grinding apparatus when not in use.

A coffee grinder-loser apparatus has a removable grinding chamber that is extractable with a fast release. Grinding adjustment is independent of access to the grinding chamber. An interface flange is interposed between an adjusting ring nut and a fixed chamber of the grinding chamber. The flange makes an indirect coupling of the ring nut and of an extractable group of components to the fixed structure. A locking system includes levers with a cam tooth mounted externally on the interface flange. The cam tooth hooks a head of tie-rod assemblies with an elastic spring so as to place them in traction and joined to the fixed structure of the grinding chamber.

A coffee grinder-loser apparatus has a removable grinding chamber that is extractable with a fast release. Grinding adjustment is independent of access to the grinding chamber.
