The invention relates to a method of bonding together surfaces of two or more elements, whereby at least one of the two or more elements is a mineral wool element, said mineral wool element(s) being bound by a mineral wool binder, the method comprising the steps of providing two or more elements; applying an adhesive to one or more of the surfaces to be bonded together before, during or after contacting the surfaces to be bonded together with each other; curing the adhesive, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one protein; at least one phenol and/or quinone containing compound, and/or at least one enzyme.

IMMUNOGENIC PEPTIDES FOR USE IN THE PREVENTION AND/OR TREATMENT OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES, AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES, IMMUNE RESPONSES TO ALLOFACTORS, ALLERGIC DISEASES, TUMORS, GRAFT REJECTION AND IMMUNE RESPONSES AGAINST VIRAL VECTORS USED FOR GENE THERAPY OR GENE VACCINATION
20180346887 · 2018-12-06 ·

The invention describes new peptides containing epitopes recognized by CD4+ natural killer T (NKT) cells for increasing activity for use in infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, immune reaction to administration of allofactors, allergic diseases, therapy of tumors, prevention of graft rejection and prevention of immunization against viral proteins used in gene therapy or gene vaccination.

IMPROVED FIBER-WASH IN CORN WET-MILLING

The instant application provides methods to increase the total starch yield and/or gluten yield from corn kernels in a wet milling process, the method comprising admixing corn kernels or a fraction of the corn kernels with a Protein Disulfide Isomerase or Thioredoxin.

Method for Producing Protein

TREATMENTS OF OXIDATIVE STRESS CONDITIONS

The present invention generally relates to systems and methods for treating certain oxidative stress conditions. In one aspect, compositions and methods of the invention can be used to treat a subject having an oxidative stress condition, for example, a subject having pulmonary fibrosis. In some embodiments, an inhibitor of ERp57 (for example, thiomuscimol) and/or an inhibitor of GSTP (for example, TLK-199) may be used to treat the subject. Also provided in certain aspects of the present invention are kits for such therapies, methods for promoting such therapies, and the like.

REDUCTION OF LIPASE ACTIVITY IN PRODUCT FORMULATIONS

The invention relates a method for producing a stable recombinant protein, comprising growing a non-naturally occurring host cell in a culture medium to produce a recombinant protein, and making a composition comprising the recombinant protein and a polysorbate. The production of endogenous lipoprotein lipase by the host cell is reduced. The endogenous lipoprotein lipase is present in the composition in a small amount, and is capable of degrading the polysorbate. The invention also relates to the relevant host cells and compositions, and preparation thereof.

PROSTATE CANCER-ASSOCIATED SECRETED PROTEINS

Methods are provided for treating a subject with prostate cancer and/or diagnosing a subject at risk for prostate cancer, which can include measuring increased expression of at least two prostate cancer-related molecules in a sample obtained from a subject, including the prostate cancer-related molecules AGR2, AGR3, CRISP3, CCL3, CEACAM5, CEACAM6, IL24, MMP9, CXCL14, CD90, POSTN, and SFRP4. The methods can include administering at therapy to a subject with prostate cancer. Methods are provided for treating a subject with intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer, which can include measuring increased expression of MMP9 in a sample obtained from a subject compared to a control representing expression of MMP9 expected in a sample from a subject who has low-risk prostate cancer.
