Countertop cooking appliance
11259497 · 2022-03-01 ·

A countertop cooking appliance is an apparatus that is used to manufacture food, particularly cheeses, with controlled heating, mixing, drainage, and pressure cycles. The apparatus is also configured to accept various cooking patterns for different foods based on different recipes. A perforated drainer is used to hold ingredients for mixing, completed cheese curds, and the finalized cheese product. A processing receptacle is a container that holds the perforated drainer and temporarily stores whey and process byproducts. A byproduct receptacle is a storage unit for whey and other liquid byproducts produced in the cheese development process. A fluid pump applies pressure to fluids collected in the processing receptacle, transferring them to the byproduct receptacle. A linear actuator provides mechanical power to one of several detachable food-interacting heads, which consequently chops, mixes, or otherwise agitates the contents of the perforated container.

BLENDER
20220346602 · 2022-11-03 ·

A blender transmits an electrical signal via a transparent film so as to detect whether a container lid is closed. The blender includes a container body receiving food; a main body provided under the container body and supporting the container body; a container lid mounted removably to the upper surface of the container body and configured to open/close the upper part of the container body; and a detection system configured to detect whether the container lid is mounted to the container body, wherein the detection system includes a transparent electrode film attached to the surface of the container body and guiding the flow of electricity. Accordingly, the transparent electrode film can transmit whether the container lid is mounted to the main body without spoiling the appearance of the container body made of a transparent material.

DEVICE FOR CUTTING FOOD
20170311761 · 2017-11-02 ·

A device (1) for cutting food comprises a cutting unit (10) having a rotatable carrier (20), a slicing knife (21) associated with the carrier (20) at one side of the carrier (20) for slicing the food, and at least one dicing knife associated with the carrier (20) at another side of the carrier (20) for dicing the food. The cutting unit (10) furthermore comprises a protection element (30) which is designed to be arranged vis-à-vis a side of the carrier (20) where the dicing knife associated with the carrier (20) is present, for delimiting a dicing space for the dicing knife associated with the carrier (20) to move through during operation, wherein the protection element (30) is equipped with at least one annular groove (33) at a side for facing the carrier (20), for receiving a free end of the dicing knife associated with the carrier (20).

MODIFIED DICING PROCEDURE FOR A FOOD PROCESSOR

A food processing device (10) includes a drive assembly coupled to a dualaction cutting tool (20) and a single-action dicing tool (40). First and second cutting assemblies (51, 52) are disposed on the cutting tool (20) and are adapted to make first and second cuts in a food substrate as the cutting tool (20) rotates within a food processing path (26). The cutting tool (20) is further adapted to urge the cut food substrate towards and through the dicing tool (40) where generally parallel spaced-apart blades (66) further cut the food substrate to form diced food elements. The sequential cutting arrangement of the cutting tool (20) and the dicing tool (40) provides for a food processing device (10) that is capable of dicing a food substrate with lower torque and lower power requirements as compared to conventional dicing methods.

Container and blade arrangement for food preparation appliance

A food preparation appliance has a base, a blade member rotatable in a direction of rotation, and a container with a closed bottom, an open top and a tubular sidewall together defining an interior space of the container. The top of the container is configured for releasable connection with the base, with the blade member disposed within the interior space of the container. The sidewall has a rib projecting inward of the interior space of the container and extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the sidewall from the top of the container toward the bottom of the container. The rib has, in the direction of rotation of the blade member, a peak defined as the shortest transverse dimension measured from the center of the container to the sidewall at a respective height along the portion of the sidewall having the rib, the rib being asymmetric in transverse cross-section.

Touch sensors form various controls for a touch controller of a blender. The controls are arranged on the touch controller such that a user holding the blender can operate the blender by articulating their thumbs. In one example, button controls for preset programs are arranged in an arcuate manner on one side of the touch controller, the curvature of the arcuate shape being open to the side of the blender. A button for a pulsating function may be located inside the curvature opening. Start and stop buttons may be located near the bottom in the middle of the touch controller. A vertical sliding speed control may be located on the side of the touch controller opposite the button controls. The touch controller may also have an LED or LCD screen.
