A cooking article includes a cooking utensil and a handle that is removably connected to the cooking utensil. The handle includes a plurality of hollow seasoning compartment sections, each section configured to store grindable seasonings. The handle includes a selector switch configured to select one of the plurality of seasoning compartment sections for grinding and dispensing seasonings. The handle includes a plurality of sliding members. Each sliding member is associated with a corresponding seasoning compartment section and includes one or more grinding teeth configured to grind the grindable seasonings of the associated seasoning compartment section. The handle includes a lever configured to be pressed and released. When the lever is pressed and released, the lever moves the sliding member associated with the selected seasoning compartment section back and forth, causing the sliding member's grinding teeth to grind the grindable seasonings in the selected seasoning compartment section.

Containers can include main bodies of various shapes and include one or more recessed channels that extends from one side to another of the container to provide greater ease of use and improved access to materials contained there, such as food and other solids, liquids, or combinations thereof.

The present invention relates to protective shield for use with a plurality of interchangeable cooking tools and/or utensils, such as a spatula, spoon, and the like. The protective shield offers protection from splashes from hot oil and grease, exposed heat and flame, and attaches to a handle end of the utensil via a threaded or other secure mechanism. The protective shield is conically shaped and includes a strap and a latch on a circumference of a base of the structure, which is used to expand and retract the size and circumference of the protective shield.

A serving spoon has a spoon portion with a depression portion that forms a depression in a serving of malleable food product, thereby allowing some other food product to be retained within the depression. The serving spoon includes a spoon portion and a handle portion. The spoon portion has a concave body and a depression portion configured within the concave body, wherein the depression portion extends up from the bottom of the concave body. The depression portion forms a depression, in a malleable food product. The spoon portion may be detachable from the handle portion.

A multifunctional utensil configured for eating, cooking, and cleaning is disclosed. The utensil is comprised of a first part and a second part, and includes a spoon on one end of a handle and a fork on the other end of the handle, with additional unique features that enhance cleaning functionality. The multifunctional utensil may include a substrate portion that is relatively rigid, and a soft edge portion that runs down the length of at least a segment of the handle's edge and around the spoon's edge. The soft edge portion is configured to be conformable to surfaces of a food vessel. The soft edge portion may be over-molded onto the rigid portion resulting in a utensil that consists of both rigid and soft elements.

According to one example, a system includes a hollow container and a ladle. The hollow container has a first opening at a proximal end, a second opening at an opposing distal end, and a sidewall that extends from the proximal end to the distal end. The first opening is wider than the second opening. The ladle comprises a handle having a proximal end and a distal end, and further comprises a cup coupled to the distal end of the handle. The cup has an inner surface configured to hold a food item. The cup further has an outer surface configured to substantially seal the second opening of the hollow container from within the hollow container.

A multipurpose cooking tool including a spatula having a hollow handle that at least partially houses a tong member and a fork member therein using two compartments located within the handle of the spatula. The fork and the tong can be securely held within their respective compartment using magnets.

Improvements in a spoon that reduces the dripping of liquids is disclosed. The spoon is used for the preparing, serving and eating food. The spoon has a structure that reduces or prevents dripping from a bottom surface of the spoon. The spoon has a bowl with an interior and a back surface. A neck is attached to the bowl. A handle extends from the neck. The bowl has a divot that extends from the back surface of the bowl inward into the interior of the bowl. The divot provides an annular or elliptical enlarged surface to eliminate the radius bottom of a spoon to reduce the potential for drops forming and dropping from the bottom of the bowl.

A measuring cup includes a scraper bar that is slide-ably affixed to the upper edges of the side walls of the measuring cup, allowing a user to simply slide the scraper bar forward and backward to scrape any excess granular foodstuff back into a bulk container, leaving a true and accurate amount of foodstuff inside the measuring cup.
