COOKING VESSEL WITH A THERMAL SENSOR
According to one example, a cookware apparatus includes a vessel. The vessel includes a bottom, and a sidewall surrounding the bottom and extending upward from the bottom so as to form a fluid retaining interior region. The sidewall terminates at a rim. The vessel also includes a channel extending through a portion of the bottom and further extending upward into and through a portion of the sidewall. The channel has an opening positioned in an external surface of the sidewall. The cookware apparatus further includes a thermal sensor positioned within the channel. The thermal sensor extends through the portion of the bottom and further extends upward into and through the portion of the sidewall.
User notification of smart cookware handle temperature
A method and system are provided that include features for preventing damage to smart components embedded within or attached to a handle of a cookware placed on a heating element of a cooktop appliance. In one aspect, if the sensed temperature of the handle exceeds a first temperature threshold, an alert can be presented to a user indicating that the handle is located in a hot environment and thus requires relocating. In another aspect, if the sensed temperature of the handle exceeds a second temperature threshold, the power output of one or more heating elements generating thermal energy can be reduced to prevent damage to the smart components embedded within or attached to the handle of the cookware.
Wireless temperature probe
A probe used with food preparation, rethermalization, storage, transportation, and/or service includes a body configured to be immersed in a foodstuff, one or more sensors configured to collect data including the temperature of the foodstuff, and a wireless device configured to transmit data collected by the one or more sensors to food equipment to control the heat provided to the foodstuff.
FOOD PORTION CONTROL AND TEMPERATURE SENSING SCOOP
A device, a food portion control and temperature sensing scoop is disclosed. The device includes a handle, a color indicator light attached to the handle, and a scoop attached to the handle.
Vessel for cooking food provided with a thermal signaling device
A vessel for cooking food is described, including a body which in turn includes a bottom wall and at least one side wall. The side wall extends from the bottom wall to define an inner space of the vessel where food is placed to be cooked. The vessel for cooking food also includes at least one handle, made from a first metal material, preferably steel, and bound to a portion of the body through interposition of at least one connection element made from a second metal material, preferably aluminum. The coefficient of thermal conductivity of the second metal material is greater than the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the first metal material. The connection element is operationally connected to at least one thermal signaling device.
Electric kettle
An electric kettle may include a body configured to form a space in which liquid, such as water may be contained, a handle that protrudes from an outer surface of the body, a heating module provided inside of the body to heat liquid inside of the body, an operation portion provided in the handle to operate so as to control an operation of the heating module, and a main printed circuit board (PCB) provided inside of the handle to control the operation of the heating module according to an operation of the operation portion. The body may have a double wall structure including two walls spaced apart from each other, and an electric wire that connects the main PCB and the heating module may be guided from the handle to the heating module through a space between the two walls.

Vessel for cooking food and its respective thermal signalling device
A cooking food vessel including a metal body, at least one handle, constrained to a portion of the metal body via a metal fastening element, and at least one thermal signalling device, applied on a portion of the handle placed at a respective component having thermal conductivity properties. The thermal signalling device is provided with at least one indicating element operatively connected to a respective actuating element made of a shape-memory alloy. The actuating element is a shape-memory coil spring, indirectly contacting the component having thermal conductivity properties and configured to switch from a first non-operative configuration, wherein is inactive, to a second operative configuration, wherein is stretched when a predefined temperature value is achieved. Between the actuating element and the component having thermal conductivity properties is interposed a metal base for modulation and/or thermal enhancement which transfers heat to such actuating element.
Vessel for cooking food and its respective enhanced thermal signaling device
Cooking food vessel including a metal body, a handle, constrained to a portion of the metal body via a metal fixing element, a metal flame guard ring, placed in contact with a metal body portion to provide thermal conduction, and a thermal signalling device including at least one bimetal sheet formed of a first metal material and a second metal material having coefficients of thermal expansion different from each other. The bimetal sheet is placed in contact with components having thermal conductivity properties and is preset for signalling attainment of predefined heating value by progressive mechanical movement related to the cooking vessel becoming hot. The flame guard ring has one or more through holes and the bimetal sheet shaped and dimensioned so at least one indicating portion thereof is at least partially visible through the through holes at a specific temperature value.
