An abrasive non-pliable hygiene apparatus for smoothing a foot and method of use. The apparatus includes an abrasion sheet, frame, and engagement sheet. The abrasion sheet is composed of a non-pliable, corrosion-resistant material with a roughened top surface designed to increase abrasion efficiency between the sheet and an epidermal surface of a foot. The abrasion sheet also has bracketing members designed to engage the frame. The frame has ridge structures designed to retain the abrasion sheet and allow for user grip. Attached to the bottom of the frame, the engagement sheet facilitates friction, retaining the placement of the apparatus during use. The frame and abrasion sheet may be one structure, having at least one additional channel disposed along a side, allowing other abrasion sheets to be attached thereto.

A method of making a sanitary basin. The method has the steps of providing a steel basin body, coating a face of the body with a layer of enamel, and burning macroscopic structures into the enamel coating with a laser beam. The structures are interconnected, for example forming a channel network.

The kit for personalizing a bath mat is a set of one or more appliques that may be applied to the floor of a bathroom washing facility or to a bath mat. The appliques may improve the appearance of the surface to which they are applied. The appliques may improve the safety characteristics of the surface to which they are applied by providing a non-slip surface. Embodiments of the kit for personalizing a bath mat may be applied directly to a shower or bathtub floor or to a commercially available bath mat. Embodiments of the kit for personalizing a bath mat may comprise a specific bath mat with designated targets for guiding placement of the appliques or having superior bonding characteristics for the adhesive backing of the appliques.

A shower mat is configured to carry an auxiliary shower spray head to deliver a spray vertically upwards to allow the user to clean their lower body and extremities. The mat may include a plurality of layers with the auxiliary shower spray head carried between the plurality of layers. Tubing interconnects the auxiliary spray head to a diverter valve that is connected to a stem of a shower enclosure.

A bathtub insert assembly for facilitating safe bathing includes a shell, which has a top that is open. A lower section of the shell is substantially complementary to a width of a bathtub. An interior surface of the shell is resilient and is configured to absorb an impact imparted by a user to prevent injury. A first plate and a second plate are coupled to a first and second ends of the shell, respectively. The first plate is configured to seat the user. The second plate is configured to support the user's feet. A pair of armrests is coupled to the shell between the first plate and the top of the shell. At least one rail is coupled to the interior surface and is configured to position items, such as soap, and to be grasped in a hand of the user to assist the user in sitting and rising.

A bathtub liner for covering an inner surface of a bathtub, wherein the bathtub liner provides a buffer against the chipped or cracked inner surface of the bathtub. The bathtub liner includes a cushioning layer sandwiched between an upper layer and a bottom layer. The bottom layer can be thick and cut resistant while the top layer may be transparent and slip resistant. Edge portions of the upper and the bottom layer can be sealably bonded together encasing the cushioning layer. The bathtub liner further has a drain hole.

The disclosure provides a cushion including an outer cover defining an interior cavity, and inner filler material disposed within the interior cavity. The inner filler material may comprise at least one molded block of polyurethane foam. The outer cover and/or the inner filler material may be porous to at least water. The cushion further includes a waterproof coating to the outer surface the inner filler material and forming waterproof seal extending entirely thereabout after curing. The waterproof coating comprises butyl acrylate within the range of 17-32 wt %, styrene within the range of 13-26 wt %, and deionized water within the range of 42-70 wt % prior to curing. The waterproof coating may further include auxiliary components within the range of 0.5-8 wt % prior to curing. The auxiliary components may include acrylic acid, sodium lauryl sulfate, an emulsifier component, ammonium peroxydisulfate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium phosphate, tertiary and tributyl phosphate.

Systems, methods, and other embodiments for using a grounding mat assembly, including providing a grounding mat, providing a metallic lead having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the metallic lead is operatively connected to the grounding mat, providing a residential water system, wherein the residential water system is operatively connected to the second end of the metallic lead, and contacting the grounding mat with a user's body, wherein the contacting of the grounding mat causes a transfer of energy from the ground into the user's body. Preferably, the grounding mat is constructed of a rust resistant, water resistant, heat resistant, high temperature resistant, UV resistant, and slip resistant material.

A device and method for removing dead skin from a person's foot comprising: a bath or shower mat comprised of flexible plastic, rubber or other similar materials. The mat comprises an upper surface and bottom surface. The upper surface comprised of an abrasive surface. The mat is further comprised of a device for holding the bottom surface against a floor.

A plurality of modular laundry bags connected to form a shower mat. The modular units are attached in series at their lateral margins with hook-and-loop fasteners. Each bag has a zippered port for loading laundry into the bag, and a hanger strap for drip-drying the laundry.
