Manufacturing a hardened formed part
A hardened formed part is manufactured with the steps: producing a blank from a hardenable strip material; heating of the blank to an austenitization temperature; forming and hardening of the blank to a hardened formed part; cleaning the hardened formed part; coating the hardened formed part with a metallic coating in an dipping bath with an electrolyte solution, wherein during the coating process, at least one auxiliary element is used in the dipping bath, such, that the deposition of the coating is partially influenced. A plant is used for manufacturing a hardened formed part.
BATCH FURNACE FOR ANNEALING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR HEAT TREATMENT
A batch furnace for annealing material, in particular a single chamber furnace or single coil furnace, with a furnace housing. The batch furnace has a closable charging opening, a receiving chamber for receiving furnace material, and a device for convective heat transfer onto the furnace material by a heat transfer medium. The batch furnace includes at least one fan, which is arranged in the furnace housing, at least one heating device for the heat transfer medium and/or at least one inlet for an externally heated heat transfer medium, wherein the heating device and/or the inlet is arranged directly in front of the intake side or directly behind the pressure side of the fan or circumferentially in an annular gap between the fan and the furnace housing, and a receiving chamber for the furnace material, which is arranged on the pressure side of the fan.
Scan induction heat treatment of an elongated workpiece
Apparatus and method are provided for preventing deformation along the longitudinal axis of a workpiece passing through a scan inductor when the workpiece has at least one section with a cross section larger than the cross section of the remainder of the workpiece. An upper and lower pair of opposing jaws transition between opened and closed positions as the workpiece passes through the scan inductor so that deformation is minimized as the workpiece passes through the scan induction apparatus.
Process and installation for heating a metallic strip, notably for an annealing
The invention pertains to the heating of a metal strip, and relates to equipment for heating a metal strip that comprises a pre-heating housing provided with a device for projecting hot gases towards the strip, a heating housing with regenerative burners, a duct for discharging the gases from the heating housing, a three-way adjustable valve and an adjustment device including a sensor for detecting the setpoint temperature of the metal strip and a member for adjusting the three-way valve so that it can adjust the amount of hot gases fed to the projection device. The invention can be used in equipment for heating narrow strips before annealing the same.
