The method for recovering a valuable metal (Cu, Ni, and Co) includes the steps of: preparing a charge comprising at least phosphorus (P) and a valuable metal as a raw material; heating and melting the raw material to form a molten body and then converting the molten body into a molten product comprising an alloy and a slag; and separating the slag from the molten product to recover the alloy comprising the valuable metal, wherein the heating and melting of the raw material comprises directly measuring an oxygen partial pressure in the molten body using an oxygen analyzer, and regulating the oxygen partial pressure based on the obtained measurement result.

Pyrometallurgical process

A process for producing a solder product and a copper product from a first lead-tin based metal composition having at least 40% wt of copper and at least 5.0% wt together of tin and lead. The process includes the steps of partially oxidizing a first liquid bath having the first lead-tin based metal composition, thereby forming a first dilute copper metal composition and a first solder refining slag, followed by separating the slag from the metal composition, and partially oxidizing a second liquid bath having the first dilute copper metal composition, thereby forming a first high-copper metal composition and a third solder refining slag, followed by separating the third solder refining slag from the first high-copper metal composition,
whereby the solder product is derived from the first solder refining slag.

COPPER-TIN-NICKEL BRAZING MATERIAL PREPARED BY ALLOYS RECYCLED FROM E-WASTE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND SYSTEM THEREOF

Copper-tin-nickel brazing material prepared by alloys recycled from E-waste, preparation method therefor, and system thereof are provided. A preparation method for the copper-tin-nickel brazing material includes the following steps: (a) spreading nano-SiO.sub.2 on the bottom of crucible and then adding a crude copper-tin-iron-nickel alloy recycled from E-waste; (b) heating the crucible to melt the crude alloy into a metal liquid so that Zn and Pb in the metal liquid react with the SiO.sub.2 to form a slag that floats out; (c) introducing a refining gas to the bottom of metal liquid in step (b), thereby removing the scums or gases formed by Pb, Fe, S, and O in the metal liquid; (d) performing heat-preserving directional solidification on the metal liquid, to bias-aggregate the Fe and Sb at one end and remove the same to obtain a copper-based intermediate alloy; and smelting and powdering the copper-based intermediate alloy.

This method for recovering a valuable metal from a used LIB includes: a step of adding, to an electrode assembly taken out of a detoxified used LIB, metallic zinc in an excess amount relative to a mass of the electrode assembly; a step of heating a mixture of the electrode assembly and the metallic zinc to form a molten metal; a step of taking out the molten metal and separating the molten metal into an alloy metal and a slag; and a step of heating the alloy metal to volatilize zinc in the alloy metal, and thereby, recovering an alloy metal of a valuable metal.

Method for separating copper from nickel and cobalt

Provided is a method for separating copper from nickel and cobalt, which is capable of efficiently and selectively separating copper, and nickel and cobalt from an alloy containing copper, nickel and cobalt such as a highly anticorrosive alloy that is obtained by subjecting a waste lithium ion battery to a dry treatment and contains copper, nickel and cobalt. According to the present invention, an alloy containing copper, nickel and cobalt is brought into contact with an acid in the coexistence of a sulfurization agent, thereby obtaining a solid that contains copper and a leachate that contains nickel and cobalt.

Scrap melting in anode furnace processes

Provided is a method for melting copper scrap and/or refining blister copper, comprising the steps of: (a) charging of copper scrap into an empty anode furnace and melting the copper scrap; (b) charging molten blister copper into the anode furnace; (c) optionally charging more copper scrap into the anode furnace and melting the copper scrap; (d) optionally repeating steps (b) and/or (c) one or more times until the anode furnace is full and a desired amount of copper scrap has been charged and melted until a final copper batch is obtained; and (e) refining the final copper batch to obtain anode copper.

Lithium Battery Recycling Method

This disclosure belongs to the field of battery recycling technologies, and specifically, to a battery recycling method. An example battery recycling method is disclosed including: performing split processing on a battery to obtain a metal shell and an electrode assembly, where the electrode assembly includes a roll core or a lamination; and recycling the metal shell. According to the recycling method in various embodiments of this disclosure, the battery is not wholly crushed, but the battery is split to obtain the metal shell and the electrode assembly. In other words, the metal shell obtained through recycling by using the recycling method in this disclosure is not crushed, thereby ensuring reusability of the metal shell.

A method, apparatus and system for processing a composite waste source, such as e-waste, is disclosed. The composite waste source may comprise low-, moderate and high-melting point constituents, such as plastics, metals and ceramics. The composite waste source is heated to a first temperature zone, causing at least some of the low-melting point constituents to at least partially thermally transform. The composite waste source is subsequently heated to a second, higher, temperature zone, causing at least some of the moderate-melting point constituents to at least partially thermally transform. At least some of the at least partially thermally transformed constituents may be recovered. The method, apparatus and system disclosed may provide for the recovery and reuse of materials which would otherwise be sent to landfill or incinerated.
