The rolled aluminum alloy sheet material may have a fibrous crystalline structure extending in a direction perpendicular to a thickness direction thereof.

Clean aluminum alloys and methods for forming such alloys
A method comprises providing a molten aluminum alloy selected from the group consisting of 6000 series aluminum alloys comprises chromium (Cr) in a range of between 0.001 wt % to 0.05 wt %. The molten aluminum alloy is formed into a formed body having beta-AlFeSi particles. The formed body is solution heat treated at a temperature in a range of 1,025-1,050° F. to form a heat-treated body. The solution heat treating transforms substantially all of the beta-AlFeSi particles into alpha-AlFeSi particles such that the heat-treated body is substantially free of the beta-AlFeSi particles.
Clean aluminum alloys and methods for forming such alloys
A method comprises providing a molten aluminum alloy selected from the group consisting of 6000 series aluminum alloys comprises chromium (Cr) in a range of between 0.001 wt % to 0.05 wt %. The molten aluminum alloy is formed into a formed body having beta-AlFeSi particles. The formed body is solution heat treated at a temperature in a range of 1,025-1,050° F. to form a heat-treated body. The solution heat treating transforms substantially all of the beta-AlFeSi particles into alpha-AlFeSi particles such that the heat-treated body is substantially free of the beta-AlFeSi particles.
ALUMINUM BRAZING SHEET FOR FLUXLESS BRAZING USE
An aluminum brazing sheet for flux-free brazing having a multilayer structure of two or more layers including at least one core material layer and one brazing material layer, wherein the brazing material layer is positioned on one or both sides of the core material layer and on an outermost surface of the brazing sheet. The brazing material layer is made of an Al—Si—Mg—X brazing material containing: in mass%, 0.05 to 2.0% of Mg, and 2.0 to 14.0% of Si, and further containing one or more of 0.01 to 0.3% of Bi, Ga, Sn, In and Pb, a total amount of Bi, Ga, Sn, In and Pb being 0.5% or less. X indicates one or more of Bi, Ga, Sn, In and Pb.
ALUMINUM ALLOY SUBSTRATE FOR MAGNETIC DISK, AND MAGNETIC DISK USING SAME
An aluminum alloy substrate for magnetic disks, including an aluminum alloy containing: 1.0 to 6.5 mass % of Mg; and the balance consisting of Al and unavoidable impurities, in which the distribution of Si—K—O-based particles with a longest diameter of 1 μm or more adhering to the surface from the surrounding environment is equal to or less than one particle/6,000 mm.sup.2; and in which the distribution of Ti—B-based particles with a longest diameter of 1 μm or more present on the surface is equal to or less than one particle/6,000 mm.sup.2, and a magnetic disk using the aluminum alloy substrate for magnetic disks.

An aluminum alloy substrate for magnetic disks, including an aluminum alloy containing: 1.0 to 6.5 mass % of Mg; and the balance consisting of Al and unavoidable impurities, in which the distribution of Si—K—O-based particles with a longest diameter of 1 μm or more adhering to the surface from the surrounding environment is equal to or less than one particle/6,000 mm.sup.2; and in which the distribution of Ti—B-based particles with a longest diameter of 1 μm or more present on the surface is equal to or less than one particle/6,000 mm.sup.2, and a magnetic disk using the aluminum alloy substrate for magnetic disks.
CLAD 2XXX-SERIES AEROSPACE PRODUCT
The invention relates to a rolled composite aerospace product comprising a 2XXX-series core layer and a 6XXX-series aluminium alloy clad layer coupled to at least one surface of the 2XXX-series core layer, wherein the 6XXX-series aluminium alloy comprises, in wt. %, Si 0.3% to 1.0%, Mg 0.3% to 1.1%, Mn 0.04% to 1.0%, Fe 0.03% to 0.4%, Cu up to 0.10%, Cr up to 0.25%, V up to 0.2%, Zr up to 0.2%, Zn up to 0.5%, Ti up to 0.15%, unavoidable impurities each <0.05%, total <0.15%, balance aluminium. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a rolled composite aerospace product.
ALUMINUM-BASED ALLOY
The invention relates to the field of metallurgy of aluminum-based materials and may be used for the manufacture of products operating in corrosive environments under high loads, in particular, at elevated and cryogenic temperatures. The new aluminum alloy with a structure comprising an aluminum solution, precipitations and an eutectic phase formed by elements such as magnesium, manganese, iron, chromium, zirconium, titanium and vanadium, is claimed. Besides, the alloy additionally contains silicon and scandium, wherein at least 75% of the share of each element from the group of zirconium and scandium form precipitations with the lattice of type L1.sub.2 in the amount of at least 0.18% vol and the particle size of no more than 20 nm, with the specified redistribution of alloying elements.
