A method for manufacturing the cold-rolled and heat-treated steel sheet is also described.

The hot-stamping member includes Fe-Al-based plated layer on one or both surfaces of a base material, the base material has a predetermined steel component, Fe-Al-based plated layer has a thickness of 10 μm or more and 60 μm or less, formed by A, B, C and D layers sequentially from a surface toward the base material, and each of the four layers is a Fe-Al-based intermetallic compound containing Al, Fe, Si, Mn and Cr for predetermined contents with the balance made up of impurities, the D layer further contains Kirkendall voids each of which cross-sectional area is 3 μm.sup.2-30 μm.sup.2 for 10 pieces/6000 μm.sup.2 or more and 40 pieces/6000 μm.sup.2 or less.

Press hardened steel with surface layered homogenous oxide after hot forming
A press-hardened steel is provided. The press-hardened steel has an alloy matrix including from about 0.01 wt. % to about 0.35 wt. % carbon, from about 1 wt. % to about 9 wt. % chromium, from about 0.5 wt. % to about 2 wt. % silicon, and a balance of iron. The alloy matrix is greater than or equal to about 95 vol. % martensite. A first layer is disposed directly on the alloy matrix. The first layer is continuous, has a thickness of greater than or equal to about 0.01 μm to less than or equal to about 10 μm, and includes an oxide enriched with chromium and silicon. A second layer is disposed directly on the first layer, and includes an oxide enriched with Fe. Methods of preparing the press-hardened steel are also provided.

The hot-rolled steel sheet has a chemical composition containing, by mass %, C: 0.030% or more and 0.20% or less, Si: 0.02% or more and 1.0% or less, Mn: 0.40% or more and 3.0% or less, P: 0.050% or less, S: 0.020% or less, N: 0.0070% or more and 0.10% or less, and Al: 0.005% or more and 0.080% or less, the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, in which N dissolved in steel is contained in an amount of 0.0010% or more and 0.090% or less, and letting a sheet thickness be t, a steel microstructure at a ½t position has an average grain size of 20.0 μm or less.
