Provided is a coated body including a base member coated with an iron-based amorphous alloy powder capable of maintaining an amorphous structure even after a coating process, such that the durability, surface hardness, and friction of the base member may be improved. The coated body includes the base member and a coating layer which is formed of an iron-based amorphous alloy and provided on a surface of the base member.
ZINC THARMAL SPLAYING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND THARMAL SPLAYING DEVICE
A zinc spraying material comprises a zinc material containing zinc; and a sulfate salt whose solubility in water is 1/8 or more of the solubility of calcium sulfate. The content of the sulfate salt in the zinc spraying material can be 0.006 to 0.14 mol based on 100 g of the content of the zinc material. Note that the sulfate salt can be at least one of potassium sulfate, sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, calcium sulfate, ferric sulfate, ferrous sulfate, lithium sulfate, calcium sulfate, and aluminum sulfate. Also, the zinc material is zinc. Alternatively, the zinc material can also be a zinc alloy containing zinc as the main component and at least one metal selected from aluminum and magnesium.
HEARTH ROLL FOR CONTINUOUS ANNEALING FURNACE
A hearth roll for a continuous annealing furnace, the hearth roll comprising a thermal spray coating on a surface of the hearth roll, wherein the thermal spray coating comprises main components consisting of a Co-based alloy, a carbide of a transition metal, and a double oxide; and impurities, the double oxide consists of one or two types of a first double oxide consisting of Al and a rare earth element and a second double oxide consisting of a transition metal and a rare earth element, and when the main components are 100 mass %, a content of the Co-based alloy is 25 mass % or more and 50 mass % or less, a content of the carbide is 5 mass % or more and 30 mass % or less, and a content of the double oxide is 20 mass % or more and 45 mass % or less.
Coating
A method of assessing the quality of a bond coat for bonding a ceramic coating to a metallic substrate comprises determining a thresholded summit area for the bond coat.
CMAS-RESISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL BARRIER COATING SYSTEM
An article may include a substrate, such as a silicon-containing ceramic matrix composite, an environmental barrier coating (EBC) layer on the substrate, and a CMAS-resistant EBC layer on the EBC layer. The EBC layer may include at least one rare-earth disilicate (REDS). The CMAS-resistant EBC layer may include at least one rare-earth monosilicate (REMS) configured to react with CMAS to form crystalline reaction products. The CMAS-resistant EBC layer may include a plurality of vertical cracks extending from a surface of the CMAS-resistant EBC layer at least partially into the CMAS-resistant EBC layer. Additionally, or alternatively, the EBC layer may include a plurality of vertical cracks extending from a surface of the EBC layer into at least a portion of the EBC layer.
Predetermining the thickness of a coating
A method for predetermining a thickness of a coating which is to be arranged on a substrate is provided. A spray spot is arranged on a surface of the substrate or a test substrate. The volume of the spray spot is determined, and based on the determined volume, the thickness of a layer which is to be applied is worked out. An arrangement for predetermining the thickness of a coating is further provided.

PIPE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A pipe according to the present disclosure comprises: a hollow tube body in which fluids of different temperatures pass through the inside and outside thereof; and a coating layer which is provided on an external surface of the hollow tube body, and which has an alloy comprising an amorphous phase, wherein the alloy comprises Fe, and comprises at least one or more first component selected from the group consisting of Cr, Mo and Co, and at least one or more second component selected from the group consisting of B, C, Si and Nb.
Method for machining a crankcase and machining device
A method for machining a crankcase includes providing a machining device. The machining device comprises a mechanical machining unit and a cooling/rinsing system, which is configured to cool and/or rinse the mechanical machining unit or a surface which is to be machined. The method also includes creating a structure in a cylinder wall of a crankcase using the mechanical machining unit. The method also includes using a fluid stream of the cooling/rinsing system to reshape at least certain regions of the structure.
Antimicrobial Products Containing Silver and Copper Particles
This invention relates to an antimicrobial product containing silver-copper particles and its preparation method. The product includes a substrate and positively charged silver particles with a particle size of 15 μm to 50 μm, and a positively charged copper particle with a particle size of 10 μm to 50 μm, wherein the copper particle size ratio to the silver particle is 0.8 to 1.2. The silver particle, the copper particle and the substrate are combined by means of semi-fused sintering, wherein the ratio of the silver particle to the copper particle is 40:60 to 95:5. The sum of the substrate, the silver particles and the total particles of the copper particles is less than or equal to 10%.
