SPUTTER TRAP HAVING A THIN HIGH PURITY COATING LAYER AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
An aluminum or copper alloy sputtering chamber includes a front surface, a back surface opposite the front surface, and a sputter trap formed on at least a portion of the front surface A coating of titanium particles is formed on the sputter trap.
ELECTROCHROMIC CATHODE MATERIALS
Various embodiments herein relate to electrochromic devices and electrochromic device precursors, as well as methods and apparatus for fabricating such electrochromic devices and electrochromic device precursors. In certain embodiments, the electrochromic device or precursor may include one or more particular materials such as a particular electrochromic material and/or a particular counter electrode material. In various implementations, the electrochromic material includes tungsten titanium molybdenum oxide. In these or other implementation, the counter electrode material may include nickel tungsten oxide, nickel tungsten tantalum oxide, nickel tungsten niobium oxide, nickel tungsten tin oxide, or another material.
Semiconductor component with oxidized aluminum nitride film and manufacturing method thereof
The present disclosure is a light-emitting diode (LED) with oxidized aluminum nitride (oxidized-AlN) film, which includes a substrate, an aluminum nitride buffer (AlN-buffer) layer, an oxidized-AlN film and a light-emitting diode epitaxial structure. The AlN-buffer layer is disposed on a patterned surface of the substrate, wherein the patterned surface is formed with a plurality of protrusions and a bottom portion. The oxidized-AlN film is disposed on the AlN-buffer layer on the protrusions, and with none disposed on the AlN-buffer layer on the bottom portion. The LED epitaxial structure includes gallium nitride compound crystal formed on the oxidized-AlN film and the AlN-buffer layer, to effectively reduce defect density of the gallium nitride compound crystal and to improve a luminous intensity of the LED.
COUNTER ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR ELECTROCHROMIC DEVICES
Various embodiments herein relate to electrochromic devices, methods of fabricating electrochromic devices, and apparatus for fabricating electrochromic devices. In a number of cases, the electrochromic device may be fabricated to include a particular counter electrode material. The counter electrode material may include a base anodically coloring material. The counter electrode material may further include one or more halogens. The counter electrode material may also include one or more additives.
Vacuum processing apparatus and substrate transfer method
In a vacuum processing apparatus, a load lock module includes a housing and substrate holding sections, the housing having first substrate transfer ports formed on one of right and left sides thereof and a second substrate transfer port formed on a rear side thereof, and each substrate holding section being configured to hold a substrate on a right or left side in the housing. Further, a normal pressure transfer chamber extends over or under the housing from one of the right and left sides of the housing to the other one thereof so that each first substrate transfer port is opened. The normal pressure transfer chamber includes a stacked transfer region that is a region overlapping the housing. Further, a normal pressure transfer mechanism transfers the substrate between each substrate holding section and a transfer container carried into each of loading/unloading ports via the stacked transfer region.
CENTRAL SOURCE DELIVERY FOR CHEMICAL VAPOR DEPOSITION SYSTEMS
According to embodiments, systems and methods are described herein that facilitate use of a Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) system continuously. The systems and methods shown herein include multiple precursor gas sources, and structures for independently connecting or disconnecting those sources for replacement. Furthermore, by providing user inputs for diluting the outputs of these multiple precursor gas sources, mixtures of precursor gas in carrier gas can be generated that have sufficiently low concentrations to be routed to a remove CVD system even at relatively low temperatures. Therefore, in embodiments many precursor gas sources, located remotely from the CVD chamber, can be independently operated and replaced as needed without interrupting a supply of precursor gas to the CVD chamber.
Carrier with vertical grid for supporting substrates in coater
Various embodiments herein relate to carriers for supporting one or more substrate as the substrates are passed through a processing apparatus. In many cases, the substrates are oriented in a vertical manner. The carrier may include a frame and vertical support bars that secure the glass to the frame. The carrier may lack horizontal support bars. The carrier may allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the substrates, without any need to provide precise gaps between adjacent pairs of substrates. The carriers described herein substantially reduce the risk of breaking the processing apparatus and substrates, thereby achieving a more efficient process. Certain embodiments herein relate to methods of loading substrates onto a carrier.
