COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR FORMING ARTICLES HAVING SILVER METAL
Electrically-conductive silver metal is provided in a pattern on a substrate having a first supporting side and a second opposing supporting side. One or both of the first supporting side and the second opposing supporting side has one or more electrically-conductive silver metal containing patterns containing the electrically-conductive silver metal; an -oxy carboxylate; a 5- or 6-membered N-heteroaromatic compound; and a polymer that is either (i) a hydroxy-containing cellulosic polymer or (ii) a non-cellulosic acrylic polymer having a halo- or hydroxy-containing side chain. Such articles can be used in various devices and electrodes.
CONDUCTIVE INK COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING PALLADIUM AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are ink compositions for making a conductive palladium structure. For example, the ink composition can comprise a palladium salt and a complex of a complexing agent and a short chain carboxylic acid or salt thereof. In some embodiments, a second or third metal salt is included in the compositions. Also disclosed herein are methods for making and using such conductive ink compositions.
Selective deposition of metals, metal oxides, and dielectrics
Methods are provided for selectively depositing a material on a first surface of a substrate relative to a second, different surface of the substrate. The selectively deposited material can be, for example, a metal, metal oxide, or dielectric material.

PATTERNING OF NANOSTRUCTURES USING IMPRINT LITHOGRAPHY
Various embodiments disclosed relate to methods of manufacturing a textured surface comprising disposing a nanoparticulate ink on a substrate.
Compositions and methods for forming articles having silver metal
Electrically-conductive silver metal can be provided in a thin film or pattern on a substrate from a silver complex having reducing silver ions and represented by: ##STR00001##
wherein L represents an -oxy carboxylate; P represents a primary alkylamine compound; a is 1 or 2; b is 1 or 2; and c is 1, 2, 3, or 4, provided that when a is 1, b is 1, and when a is 2, b is 2. The silver complex is mixed in a hydroxy-free, nitrile-containing aprotic solvent with a polymer that is either (i) a hydroxy-containing cellulosic polymer or (ii) a non-cellulosic acrylic polymer having a halo- or hydroxy-containing side chain. The reducible silver ions in the a thermally sensitive thin film or pattern can be thermally converted to electrically-conductive metallic silver under suitable heating conditions to provide a product article that can be used in various devices.
Wear-resistant liquid-based coatings for glass
A sol-gel method for forming durable, scratch-resistant coatings on glass substrates. Zirconia coatings, for example, are formed from a solution of zirconium oxychloride octahydrate in an organic, polar, aprotic solvent such as dimethylformamide. Annealed coatings, which optionally include an additive such as graphene, have a low coefficient of friction and can exhibit high hardness and hydrophobicity.

METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A LAYER OR A PATTERN FOR COATING THE INNER SURFACE OF A RECEPTACLE, AND RECEPTACLE OBTAINED BY A METHOD OF SAID TYPE
The invention relates to a method for producing a neutral barrier layer for coating the inner surface of a receptacle for holding products that are biocompatible for humans and/or animals, and to the receptacle obtained by said method. According to the invention, a solution is formed that contains at least one solvent, water, at least one complexing molecular alkoxysilane precursor, at least one surfactant, at least one pigment and/or coloring agent, and a catalytic acid, the complexed solution, which is undergoing hydrolysis and condensation, is homogeneously applied to at least one portion of the inner surface of the receptacle, the applied solution is dried at a specific drying temperature such that a layer is formed which is opaque, translucid and/or forms a particular pattern, and the receptacle is conveyed away, stored and filled with the product.
GAS SENSOR WITH SUPERLATTICE STRUCTURE
A gas sensor has a microstructure sensing element which comprises a plurality of interconnected units wherein the units are formed of connected graphene tubes. The graphene tubes may be formed by photo-initiating the polymerization of a monomer in a pattern of interconnected units to form a polymer microlattice, removing unpolymerized monomer, coating the polymer microlattice with a metal, removing the polymer microlattice to leave a metal microlattice, depositing graphitic carbon on the metal microlattice, converting the graphitic carbon to graphene, and removing the metal microlattice.
