Various consumable material dispensing apparatus including automatic roll transfer features are disclosed. In certain embodiments, the apparatus includes a housing, a roll support assembly, a motor, a roll sensor mechanism, and a controller. The housing can include a cabinet, an interior, and an opening. The roll support assembly can support a plurality of rolls. The motor can rotate the roll support assembly from a first position where a first roll is proximate the opening to a second position where a second roll is proximate the opening. The roll sensor mechanism can detect whether a diameter of the first roll is less than a threshold value when the roll support assembly is in the first position. In response, the controller can instruct the motor to rotate the roll support assembly from the first position to the second position.

The controller is in operable communication with the sensor and the motor, and is responsive to executable instructions to facilitate actuation of the motor in response to a signal from the sensor to cause the transfer bar to move between the first position and second positions. The transfer bar includes at least one finger that drives an end of a roll of sheet product towards the nip upon actuation of the transfer bar from the first position to the second position.

The sheet material transfer assembly can include a frame that is movable between a plurality of positions including a first position that facilitates feeding of the sheet material from a first supply of sheet material, and a second position that facilitates feeding or dispensing of sheet material from a second supply of sheet material. The frame of the sheet material transfer system can shift or move to the second position for dispensing sheet material from the second supply of sheet material when the first supply of sheet material is fully dispensed.

A wet towelette dispensing device is provided. The device is operable in conjunction with a container storing a plurality of dried, compressed, individually wrapped, preferably sealed towelettes. The device includes a pump configured to transfer a predetermined amount of liquid from a liquid reservoir to a heat exchanger to heat the liquid to a predetermined temperature, a plunger configured to release a first one of the towelettes from its individual wrapping. The device further includes a liquid dispense unit configured to deliver the heated liquid to the released towelette.

A sheet product dispenser is provided. The sheet product dispenser includes a roll of sheet product, a dispensing arrangement, and a method of sensing the separation of a dispensed sheet product. A sensor is provided for detecting the movement of a movable member, such as a tear bar or paper guide. The sensor generates a signal in response to the movement of the movable member. A controller de-energizes a roller in said dispensing arrangement in response to said signal.
