Sheet product dispensers and related methods for reducing sheet product usage

A resistance mechanism for a sheet product dispenser for dispensing a length of sheet product from a roll of sheet product rotatably supported by the sheet product dispenser is provided. The resistance mechanism includes an arm configured to frictionally engage a surface of the roll of sheet product, and a spring attached to the arm and configured to bias the arm into engagement with the surface of the roll of sheet product, such that the resistance mechanism provides a pull force resistance opposing a pull force applied to a tail portion of the roll of sheet product.

Hand wash station

A portable hand wash station includes a base that can set upon the ground. A fresh water tank and greywater tank are disposed atop the base. A tank cover is disposed atop the tanks. The sink member is pivotally mounted to the tank cover with a hinge. The sink member defines two sink basins that oppose one another. Each sink basin can be shaped and sized to allow the user to wash their forearms. A backsplash member can be secured to the sink member between the individual sink basins. The fresh water tank access can be secured by locking the sink member to the tank cover. A plurality of rods secure the tanks in place between the base and tank cover without protruding through a sidewall of the tanks.

A support spindle assembly for rotatably supporting a coreless paper roll for dispensing, the support spindle assembly including a spindle base, a spindle element having a central longitudinal axis (X) and having first and second ends, the spindle element being attached to the spindle base at the first end and rotationally fixed in relation to the spindle base and a rotatable sleeve rotatably disposed about the spindle element, and rotatable in relation to the spindle base and to the spindle element. The support spindle assembly includes a resilient member disposed about the first end of the spindle element, which resilient member is arranged to cooperate with the spindle base and with the rotatable sleeve in order to provide the rotatable sleeve with a rotational resistance.

Dispenser assembly

A dispenser assembly designed to tangentially dispense a sheet from a roll of sheet material including sheet material formed from two webs, each web having lines of weakness positioned transversely across the web which allows the web to be separated into a plurality of sheets, the lines of weakness of one web being offset from those of the other web. The dispenser assembly includes (1) a base arranged to hold the roll of sheet material and to couple the dispenser assembly with an environment structure; (2) a first roller and a counter roller between which the sheet material is movable towards a dispensing outlet; and (3) a cradle arranged to support the roll of sheet material and to unwind the sheet material towards the first roller whatever a consumption level of the roll of sheet material. The first roller and the counter roller are positioned relatively to each other spaced according to a fixed nip therebetween to generate a braking force on the sheet material sufficient to break the line of weakness of the web at the dispensing outlet or downstream the dispensing outlet.

Consumables monitoring system

A consumables monitoring system is in communication with computing means and has a dispenser assembly formed of a dispenser and a mounting unit. The mounting unit and dispenser are arranged such that a plurality of sensors in the mounting unit is able to measure the quantity of consumables in the dispenser, and the dispenser assembly communicates sensor data to the computing means, which thereby monitor the usage of the dispenser. The plurality of sensors have different sensitivities over a range of inputs, wherein system is configured to switch between the sensors depending on the value of the inputs detected. The fact that the mounting unit may engage multiple different types of otherwise stand-alone dispensers provides for a monitoring system that can be used in conjunction with any type of dispenser and consumable.
