Compact waste combustion system
A compact waste combustion system deployed within a portable toilet has a burn chamber that includes a processor, a burner, a trapdoor mechanism configured to seal an entrance to the burn chamber when the compact waste combustion system is operated in a first mode and a waste receptacle configured to feed waste material to the burn chamber through the trapdoor mechanism in a second mode of operation. The processor may be configured to detect presence of a waste in the waste receptacle, configure the system to operate in the second mode and to pass waste into the burn chamber, configure the compact waste combustion system to operate in the first mode after the waste has passed into the burn chamber, and activate the burner when the compact waste combustion system is operated in the first mode and the waste is located in the burn chamber.
Incineration toilet
It is described an incineration toilet especially suitable for caravans and camping cars. The toilet comprises a toilet chair with a pouch bowl (3). In the pouch bowl (3), a waste pouch can be arranged. Below the pouch bowl, there is a hatch mechanism over a combustion chamber (4). The hatch mechanism comprises a spring-loaded flap (21) in the back part of the pouch bowl, as well as a hatch (11) abutting an opening in the upper part of the combustion chamber (4). The hatch (11) is coupled to a motor (13) via a stay transmission (14, 15). The motor is arranged to lift the hatch (11) and revolve it up behind the flap (21), so that the flap is released and the pouch can fall down into the combustion chamber (4).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING OF FECAL WASTE
A method of treating fecal waste according to an example of the present disclosure includes bringing a reactor containing fecal matter to a first temperature and a first pressure, exposing the reactor to an environment with a second temperature and a second pressure such that the water in the fecal waste undergoes flash evaporation, and pyrolizing the fecal waste. A fecal waste processing unit is also disclosed.
INCINERATION TOILET
An incineration toilet includes a base, a toilet unit, and a toilet casing. The toilet unit is secured above the base. The toilet unit includes a toilet bowl, an incineration chamber formed by an upper incineration chamber section, and a removable ash tray positioned below the incineration chamber section. A lower surface of the incineration chamber section is provided in contact with an upper surface of the ash tray during an incineration process. The toilet casing is connected to the base for protecting an outside of the toilet casing against heat from the incineration chamber. The incineration toilet includes a closable access opening through which access is provided to the inside of the incineration toilet. The incineration toilet includes an ash tray supporting assembly for supporting the ash tray relative to the base. The ash tray supporting assembly includes an actuating element vertically movable between a first position and a second position. The upper surface of the ash tray is pushed upwardly towards the lower surface of the incineration chamber section when the actuating element is in the second position.
Disposal of organic waste
Apparatus including a receptacle for holding therein organic waste, a first dispenser operative to dispense an oxidizing agent to the organic waste so as to cause an exothermic reaction that results in combustion of the organic waste, and a second dispenser operative to dispense a reducing agent that neutralizes a residual amount of the oxidizing agent that remains after the exothermic reaction.
WASTE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A human waste processing system adapted to process both human solid and liquid waste deposited into a toilet or similar vessel and to process the waste for further use and/or convenient disposal. The present system is specifically configured for use with low-water-volume flush toilets and dry toilets. In particular, the present system is configured to separate solid waste and liquid waste with liquid waste being processed via a plurality of sequential filtration stages and with the solid waste being processed by thermal decomposition such as pyrolysis/torrefaction processing.
High efficiency evaporative/dehydration toilets
An appliance that dries and sanitizes solids, evaporates liquids, using air flow and short bursts of heat developed by an induction heating unit that relies on eddy currents of a ferromagnetic collection pan to dry the solids and evaporate the liquids. The pan is removed and the treated matter is disposed of. The unit is lightweight, needs only to be vented, plugged in and is ready to use. It is mobile, works off of conventional power mains, generators and/or solar. No special type of toilet paper is involved, there is no composting, no fire, and there are no chemicals.
Incinerating toilet with a locking device
An incineration toilet includes a base, a toilet unit, a seat, a toilet casing, an access opening, a cover, and a locking system. The toilet unit is secured above the base. The toilet unit includes a toilet bowl, an incineration chamber, and an ash tray. The seat has a lid around and above the toilet bowl. The toilet casing is connected to the base for protecting an outside of the toilet casing against heat from the incineration chamber. The access opening provides access to the ashtray for emptying of the ash tray. The cover is for closing off the access opening. The locking system is operable between an unlocked state in which it allows the cover to be opened and a locked state in which the cover is prevented from being opened. The incineration toilet further includes a control system for automatically operating the locking system from the locked state to the unlocked state based on a heat parameter, such that the locking system is in the unlocked state when the heat parameter is below a predetermined threshold value.
