CLEANING COMPOSITION AND CLEANING METHOD
Provided are a cleaner composition that can exhibit excellent cleaning ability by including a predetermined amount of water, and can also effectively suppress metal corrosion; and a cleaning method thereof. Disclosed is a cleaner composition in a white turbid state including first to fourth organic solvents and water, in which the first organic solvent is a hydrophobic aromatic compound or the like; the second organic solvent is a hydrophobic monoalcohol compound; the third organic solvent is a predetermined hydrophilic nitrogen-containing compound or the like; the fourth organic solvent is a hydrophilic amine compound; the amount of incorporation of water is adjusted to a value within the range of 50 to 3,900 pbw with respect to 100 pbw of the total amount of the organic solvents, and when the cleaner composition is subjected to phase separation, the water concentration in the oil phase is adjusted to a value of 5 wt. % or less.
NOVEL MINIMUM BOILING AZEOTROPE OF N-BUTYL-3-HYDROXYBUTYRATE AND N-UNDECANE AND APPLICATION OF THE AZEOTROPE TO SOLVENT CLEANING
A novel minimum boiling binary azeotrope of n-undecane and n-butyl-3-hydroxybutyrate is shown to have utility as a solvent for degreasing of both nonpolar and polar contaminants. The components of the azeotrope are stable against degradation and the composition is largely invariant with pressure, yielding a unique solvent that can be used in cold cleaning and in vapor degreasing at elevated temperatures and over a wide range of pressures.
SYSTEM FOR AND METHOD OF BY-PRODUCT REMOVAL FROM A METAL SUBSTRATE
A system for and method of removing residues, deposits, and debris from a substrate that has been marked by a chemical etching process is disclosed. The system includes one or more upper sprayers that deposit a cleaning solution to a top surface of the product as it passes beneath the one or more upper sprayers. The system further includes at least one upper brush that operates to scrub the top surface of the product after the cleaning solution has been applied thereto. The system optionally includes one or more lower sprayers and lower brushes to clean a bottom surface of the product as it is conveyed through the system. The system further includes an air knife system that assists with drying the product prior to exiting the system. The system further includes a controller that is operable to adjust various system parameters.
FISCHER-TROPSCH GASOIL FRACTION
The present invention provides a Fischer-Tropsch gasoil fraction having an initial boiling point of at least 165 C. and a final boiling point of at most 220 C. In another aspect the present invention provides a cleaning composition and the use of a Fischer-Tropsch gasoil fraction according to the invention.
Apparatus and method for cleaning metal smallware
A cleaning apparatus for metal smallware is provided having a washing chamber configured to carry out a washing cycle and suction means connected to the washing chamber and configured to carry out a discharge cycle, a main absorption column having a first side and a second side opposite each other, wherein the first side is hydraulically connected to the suction means and the second side is hydraulically connected to a supply duct. In particular, the main absorption column is configured to cause an interaction between a gaseous mixture supplied by the suction means and an absorption liquid supplied by the supply duct to perform chemical absorption of a solvent present in the gaseous mixture having air and solvent, in the absorption liquid, and reduce the concentration of solvent in the gaseous mixture having air and solvent.
