Component for use in plasma processing apparatus, plasma processing apparatus, and method for manufacturing the component
A component for use in a plasma processing apparatus, which is to be exposed to a plasma, includes a base material, an alumite layer and a thermally sprayed film. The base material has a plurality of through holes and a rough surface at which one end of each of the through holes is opended. The alumite layer is formed on a surface of the base material having the rough surface by an anodic oxidation process. The thermally sprayed film is formed on the rough surface with the alumite layer therebetween.
Clean aluminum alloys and methods for forming such alloys
A method comprises providing a molten aluminum alloy selected from the group consisting of 6000 series aluminum alloys comprises chromium (Cr) in a range of between 0.001 wt % to 0.05 wt %. The molten aluminum alloy is formed into a formed body having beta-AlFeSi particles. The formed body is solution heat treated at a temperature in a range of 1,025-1,050° F. to form a heat-treated body. The solution heat treating transforms substantially all of the beta-AlFeSi particles into alpha-AlFeSi particles such that the heat-treated body is substantially free of the beta-AlFeSi particles.

ELECTROCHEMICAL ATTACHMENT OF PHOSPHONIC ACIDS TO METALLIC SUBSTRATES AND ANTIMICROBIAL MEDICAL DEVICES CONTAINING SAME
A method of preparing a modified-metal surface. The method includes preparing a solution of a phosphorous-based acid in a solvent; immersing a strip of the metal work piece into the solution of the phosphorous-based acid; immersing a strip of a reference metal into the solution of the phosphorous-based acid; supplying a voltage for a duration of time to prepare a phosphorous acid-modified metal work piece; removing the phosphorous acid-modified metal work piece; cleaning and drying the phosphorous acid-modified metal work piece; applying a chitosan solution to the surface in order to attach chitosan/modified chitosan to the phosphorous acid based modified surface; prepare the modified-metal surface; and cleaning and drying the modified-metal surface.
METHOD OF CLEANING AN ALUMINUM WHEEL
The present application includes methods, apparatuses, and systems for cleaning an aluminum wheel. In particular instances, a method of treating an exterior surface of an aluminum vehicle wheel comprising: blasting the exterior surface a first occurrence for a first duration at a first velocity using blasting media; blasting the exterior surface a second occurrence for a second duration at a second velocity using blasting media after blasting the exterior surface for a first duration, the second velocity being substantially lower than the first velocity; and, arranging the vehicle wheel in contact with vibratory finishing media and vibrating the vehicle wheel with the vibratory finishing media for a duration after blasting the exterior surface in each of the first and second occurrences.
NOVEL COATING FOR CORROSION AND WEAR PROTECTION OF TEMPORARY DOWNHOLE ARTICLE DURING CONVEYANCE AND OPERATION
The patent application discloses a degradable composite with coatings. The light metal workpiece with enhanced surface protection may comprise a light metal matrix having an exposed surface; a light metal oxide ceramic layer formed in at least a portion of the exposed surface; and a non-transparent metal alloy layer directly on the light metal oxide ceramic layer.
Metal article, method for manufacturing the metal article, and metal composite
A metal article comprises two metals, and a first hole and an oxide layer are set correspondingly on the surfaces of the two metals. To avoid the electrolytic corrosion on the interface between the two metals during the formation of the first hole, the disclosure provides a method of manufacturing the metal article. By putting a metal substrate in a first electrolyte including an etching agent and a passivating agent and applying electricity on the metal substrate, the metal article with the first hole is formed without electrolytic corrosion. The disclosure also provides a metal composite, which is formed by setting a material part in the first hole of the metal article.
