Porous coordination polymer and hydrogen molecule storage method, hydrogen storage device, hydrogen molecule separation method and hydrogen purifier using the same
The present invention provides a porous coordination polymer, wherein the porous coordination polymer is formed of unit lattices; each of the unit lattices has a shape of a cube having eight vertexes and twelve sides; each of the vertexes of the unit lattices consists of a Zn.sub.4O cluster; each of the sides of the unit lattices consists of a .sup.OOCCCCOO.sup. group. At least a part of the unit lattices contains at least one hydrogen molecule only, or the inside of at least a part of the unit lattices is empty. The present invention provides a novel porous coordination polymer, especially, a porous coordination polymer suitable for separating hydrogen molecules from a gaseous mixture of the hydrogen molecules and impurity molecules (e.g., nitrogen molecules, oxygen molecules, or carbon dioxide molecules).

Method for measuring a degree of hydrogenation
A method for detecting a degree of hydrogenation of a liquid comprises one or more liquid hydrogen carriers, which can be hydrogenated, comprising: detecting a material property of the liquid and determining the degree of hydrogenation of the liquid on the basis of the detected material property of the liquid.
Reactor apparatus for dehydrogenating a carrier medium
A reactor apparatus for dehydrogenating a carrier medium includes a reactor housing, an interior space which is enclosed by the reactor housing and includes a preliminary space, which has an inflow opening for inflow of loaded carrier medium into the preliminary space and at least one first connecting opening for outflow of the carrier medium from the preliminary space, and includes a reaction space connected via the at least one first connecting opening to the preliminary space. The reactor apparatus additionally has a heat transfer space which is arranged between the reactor housing and the reaction space and contains a heat transfer medium for transfer of heat from the heat transfer medium to the carrier medium.
Porous material for storing of molecules and its use
The invention concerns new types of porous coordination polymers (MOF) and a method for their preparation. MOFs have been prepared through synthesis of salts of trivalent cations M.sup.3+, the source of which are aluminium, chromium, iron or yttrium salts, it is advantageous if of chlorides, nitrates or sulphates, with linkers carrying two or more phosphinic groups under presence of solvent. Linkers are phenylene-1,4-bis(R phosphinic acid) (PBPA) and biphenylene-4,4-bis(R phosphinic acid) (BBPA). For the prepared MOFs, the structure has been tested using x-ray powder diffraction, specific surface and porousness which have been characterised through adsorption isotherm of nitrogen and further the stability of prepared MOFs has been determined using thermogravimetric analysis.
All the prepared MOFs have been stable around 400 C. and have contained mesopores or micropores where hydrogen or CO.sub.2, for example, can be stored.
PROCESS, USE OF AN INDICATOR MATERIAL AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING A CONDITION OF A HYDROGEN CARRIER MATERIAL
A method for determining a state of a hydrogen carrier material comprises using the hydrogen carrier material in a cyclic storage process, wherein each storage cycle comprises charging the hydrogen carrier material with hydrogen, releasing hydrogen from the hydrogen carrier material and producing a mixture by adding a defined amount of an indicator material to the hydrogen carrier material. Further, determining a proportion of the indicator material in the mixture and determining a number of storage cycles for the hydrogen carrier material on the basis of the determined proportion of the indicator material and/or a degradation of the hydrogen carrier material on the basis of the determined proportion of the indicator material as a state of the hydrogen carrier material are provided.
