A control system includes a cleaner dispensing system and a computing device. The cleaner dispensing system includes a cleaner dispensing apparatus having a dispenser device configured to operate to dispense a cleaning composition. The cleaner dispensing system includes a cartridge configured to detachably couple with the cleaner dispensing apparatus to provide a cleaning composition held in a cartridge reservoir to the dispenser device. The cartridge includes a cartridge indicator configured to indicate a particular cartridge identifier code associated with the cartridge. The computing device is configured to detect the particular cartridge identifier code based on obtaining cartridge information from the cartridge indicator and to transmit an apparatus enable command signal to the cleaner dispensing apparatus, to cause the cleaner dispensing apparatus to selectively enable operation of at least the dispenser device, in response to a determination that the particular cartridge identifier code matches an authentic cartridge identifier code.

SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS

A surface cleaning apparatus includes a housing including an upright handle assembly and a base mounted to the upright handle assembly. The surface cleaning apparatus is further provided with a fluid delivery system comprising a fluid dispenser configured to dispense fluid and at least one wiper to remove excess liquid from a brushroll.

An upright extractor has an upright section moveably mounted to a surface cleaning head. The upright section has a wand and hose assembly and a liquid separator. The liquid separator comprises a solid collection chamber that is separated from a liquid collection chamber by a porous divider. The upright extractor is operable in a floor cleaning mode in which the handle is a driving handle of the upright extractor. The upright extractor is also operable in an above floor cleaning mode in which the inlet end of the wand is disconnected from fluid flow communication with the surface cleaning head dirty fluid inlet and an above floor air flow path extends from the inlet end of the wand to the clean air outlet and the liquid separator and the suction motor are provided in the above floor cleaning air flow path.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus is provided with a base assembly, an upright assembly, and a fluid recovery system. The base assembly includes a base housing, a brush chamber, at least one brushroll in the brush chamber; and a removable brush housing. A portion of the brush chamber is removable with the brush housing.

Wet/dry vacuum device

An improved shop vacuum with wet/dry capability uses a vacuum tube that terminates in a space between the canister and the vacuum compartment such that the fluid and content exiting the vacuum tube is not directly opposed the negative pressure source. This allows the fluid to drain into the canister in a more controlled and less volatile condition, reducing splashing and entrainment of the fluid. Moreover, a second exit for the vacuum has been added to the canister to improve the efficiency of the vacuum and the overall performance of the device.

Handheld extraction cleaner

A handheld extraction cleaner includes a unitary body provided with a carry handle, and further provided with a supply tank, a suction nozzle, a recovery tank, and a suction source, all of which are carried by the unitary body. In one aspect, the recovery tank is configured to optimize the usable volume within the tank and a user's view of the collected dirty liquid within the tank, among other functions. In another aspect the recovery tank has an auto-close feature that automatically seals an outlet of the tank when the recovery tank is mounted to a tank receiver of the unitary body. In yet another aspect, the extraction cleaner has an agitator that slides out from a side of the unitary body. In still another aspect, the suction nozzle includes a cleaning angle guide skid to orient the extraction cleaner at an optimal cleaning angle. In a further aspect, the supply tank is a non-removable part located at a rear of the unitary body.

SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS WITH DRYING CYCLE

The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that includes a recovery system that extracts liquid and debris with a drying cycle in which forced air flows through a recovery pathway of the recovery system to dry out components that remain wet and/or retain moisture after normal operation of the apparatus. The post-operation drying cycle can dry out components such as an agitator or brushroll, a brush chamber, a suction nozzle, a recovery tank, a filter, and any of the various conduits, ducts, and/or hoses fluidly coupling components of the recovery system together.

An extraction cleaner includes a suction nozzle having an inlet path and suction fan configured to provide suction. The inlet path brings liquid and air into the extraction cleaner. Suction fan has a fan entrance, a recovery tank is spaced from the fan entrance. A separator element configured to allow liquid to flow into the recovery tank, inhibit the flow of liquid out of the recovery tank, and inhibit liquid from reaching the fan entrance, or all three. The separator element may be a butterfly valve configured to selectively close the fan entrance. The separator element may be a funnel extending into the recovery tank to block liquid from leaving the recovery tank during inversion. The separator element may be a fan separator adjacent the suction fan, which directs liquid outward, away from the fan separator, within the extraction cleaner, such that liquid is moved away from the suction fan.
