A reconfigurable upright vacuum cleaner has a portable surface cleaning unit removably mounted to an upper portion and is securable thereto by a portable surface cleaning unit lock. The portable surface cleaning unit has the operable members of the portable surface cleaning unit lock provided on the portable surface cleaning unit and removable with the portable surface cleaning unit from the upper portion.

An upright surface cleaning apparatus includes a surface cleaning head having a dirty air inlet. A support structure is moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head and a portable cleaning unit is removably mounted to the support structure. An above floor cleaning wand is provided.

A reconfigurable upright vacuum cleaner has a surface cleaning head with a pedestal member pivotally mounted thereto. An upper portion, which comprises a portable surface cleaning unit removably mounted thereto, is mounted to the pedestal member. An above floor cleaning wand is removably mounted to the pedestal member. The portable surface cleaning unit is securable to the pedestal member by a portable surface cleaning unit lock.

In an embodiment, a surface cleaning apparatus is disclosed. The surface cleaning apparatus including a surface cleaning head, a handheld unit, at least one tube configured to be removably coupled between the handheld unit and the surface cleaning head such that an air flow path is formed from the surface cleaning head through the tube to the handheld unit, and a battery pack electrically connected to the handheld unit and configured to be removably mounted to the surface cleaning head, to the tube, and/or to the handheld unit.

A cleaning apparatus includes a base and an outer housing with a sidewall that is operably coupled with the base. The sidewall defines an interior of the outer housing and has an outer surface. A recess is formed in the outer surface of the sidewall and is defined at least in part by a recess top wall, a recess bottom wall, and a recess rear wall that extends between the recess top wall and the recess bottom wall. A vent is disposed in the recess and defines at least one port in the recess rear wall that provides fluid communication to the interior. A suction hose for a vacuum cleaner having a vacuum body assembly includes an accessory end configured to accept one or more interchangeable accessory nozzles, an attachment end, opposite the accessory end, and configured to removably attach to a vacuum body assembly, a hollow conduit extending between the accessory end and the attachment end; and a pivot joint assembly located between the accessory end and the attachment end, the pivot joint assembly providing rotation of the accessory end relative to the attachment end.

A reconfigurable upright vacuum cleaner has a portable surface cleaning unit removably mounted to an upper portion. The portable surface cleaning unit has a suction motor and an air treatment member. The air treatment member is removably mounted to the portable surface cleaning unit and secured in position by an air treatment member lock. The portable surface cleaning unit is secured in position by a portable surface cleaning unit lock. When the portable surface cleaning unit is mounted to the upper portion and the upper portion is in the storage position, the portable surface cleaning unit actuator is provided on an upper end of the portable surface cleaning unit and the air treatment member release actuator is provided on an upper end of the air treatment member.

A surface cleaning apparatus having comprises a surface cleaning head having a dirty air inlet; a longitudinally extending upper portion moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a storage position and a floor cleaning position, the upper portion comprising first and second longitudinally spaced apart portable surface cleaning unit mounting members; a portable surface cleaning unit removably mounted to the upper portion and comprising an air treatment member and a suction motor; above floor cleaning wand removably mounted in the upper portion and removable when the portable surface cleaning unit is mounted to the upper portion; and, a flexible air flow conduit forming at least part of an air flow path from the above floor cleaning wand to the surface cleaning unit.

An elongated and adjustable pet waste collection apparatus having an integrated vacuum or suction pump which suctions waste matter off the ground and into a pre-loaded disposable waste bag. Aspects of embodiments of the disclosure contemplate a sanitizing solution dispenser along with a heat sealer for sealing the ends of the waste bag after waste collection. The disclosure is intended to provide consumers with a simple sanitary tool for the collection and discarding of pet waste.
