GRAPHENE COMPOUND, METHOD FOR FORMING GRAPHENE COMPOUND, AND LITHIUM-ION STORAGE BATTERY
A material that can be used in a wide temperature range is provided. A graphene compound includes graphene or graphene oxide and a substituted or unsubstituted chain group, the chain group includes two or more ether bonds, and the chain group is bonded to the above graphene or graphene oxide through a Si atom. Alternatively, a method for forming a graphene compound includes a first step and a second step after the first step. In the first step, graphene oxide and a base are stirred under a nitrogen stream. In the second step, the mixture is cooled to room temperature, a silylating agent that has a group having two or more ether bonds is introduced into the mixture, and the obtained mixture is stirred. The base is butylamine, pentylamine, hexylamine, diethylamine, dipropylamine, dibutylamine, triethylamine, tripropylamine, or pyridine.

LARGE SCALE PRODUCTION OF OXIDIZED GRAPHENE
Embodiments described herein relate generally to the large scale production of functionalized graphene. In some embodiments, a method for producing functionalized graphene includes combining a crystalline graphite with a first electrolyte solution that includes at least one of a metal hydroxide salt, an oxidizer, and a surfactant. The crystalline graphite is then milled in the presence of the first electrolyte solution for a first time period to produce a thinned intermediate material. The thinned intermediate material is combined with a second electrolyte solution that includes a strong oxidizer and at least one of a metal hydroxide salt, a weak oxidizer, and a surfactant. The thinned intermediate material is then milled in the presence of the second electrolyte solution for a second time period to produce functionalized graphene.

Graphene entrainment in a host
This is generally a method of producing graphene-containing suspensions of flakes of high quality graphene/graphite oxides and method of producing graphene/graphite oxides. Both the exfoliating graphite into flakes and oxidizing the graphite flakes and the preparation and suspension of the flakes can be done with high volume production and at a low cost.
