A robotic cleaning system may include a robotic cleaner having a robotic cleaner dust cup and a docking station having a docking station dust cup configured to fluidly couple to the robotic cleaner dust cup. The docking station dust cup may include a first debris collection chamber, a second debris collection chamber fluidly coupled to the first debris collection chamber, and a filter fluidly coupled to the first debris collection chamber and the second debris collection chamber.

A vacuum cleaner may include a suction motor and a cyclonic separator fluidly coupled to the suction motor. The cyclonic separator may include a chamber and a first and a second vortex finder extending within the chamber. The first and second vortex finders may extend from opposing sides of the chamber.

A surface cleaning apparatus comprises an air treatment chamber having a porous member at the air outlet. The air treatment chamber has a stationary portion and an openable portion, the openable portion is moveably mounted by a mount between a closed position in which the air treatment chamber is closed and an open position in which the air treatment chamber is open. A second cyclonic stage is downstream from the first cyclonic stage, a pre-motor filter is downstream from the second cyclonic stage and a suction motor is downstream from the pre-motor filter wherein the suction motor axis of rotation extends through the pre-motor filter chamber and the second cyclonic stage.

A hand vacuum cleaner is provided with a first cyclonic cleaning stage, a pre-motor filter and a fluid flow motor. The first cyclonic stage has a bottom end, an upper end spaced longitudinally from the bottom end along a first stage axis, an air inlet and an air outlet, the first cyclonic cleaning stage comprising a first cyclone chamber and a first dirt collection region, the first dirt collection region having an end wall at the bottom end that is openable to empty the first dirt collection region. The fluid flow motor is downstream from the pre-motor filter. A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone assembly that comprises a cyclone and a dirt collection chamber exterior to the cyclone. The cyclone has a cyclone axis of rotation and the cyclone assembly has first and second opposed ends with sides extending between the first and second ends. The cyclone axis of rotation extends axially through the first and second ends and one of the sides is openable.

A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone assembly that comprises a cyclone and a dirt collection chamber exterior to the cyclone. The cyclone has a cyclone axis of rotation and the cyclone assembly has first and second opposed ends with sides extending between the first and second ends. The cyclone axis of rotation extends axially through the first and second ends and one of the sides is openable.

A cleaner includes: a main body that forms an external shape; a dust container that is separably combined with the main body and stores dust separated from air; a dust container cover that is configured to open and close the dust container; a handle unit that is disposed behind the dust container; and an operating member that is configured to provide operation force to the dust container cover by moving in a first direction and to release a holding mechanism for preventing separation of the dust container from the main body by moving in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
