A process for preparing a nanometric zeolite Y of FAU structural type with a crystal size of less than 100 nm and an A/B ratio of greater than 2, by mixing, in aqueous medium, of at least one source AO.sub.2 of at least one tetravalent element A chosen from silicon, germanium and titanium, of at least one source BO.sub.b of at least one trivalent element B chosen from aluminum, boron, iron, indium and gallium, of at least one source C.sub.2/mO of an alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal C chosen from lithium, sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, where source C.sub.2/mO also includes at least one source of hydroxide ions, to obtain a gel, maturation and hydrothermal treatment of the gel.
Process for the preparation of a zeolitic material having a FAU-type framework structure and use thereof in the selective catalytic reduction of NO.SUB.x
A process for the preparation of a zeolitic material having a FAU-type framework structure comprising YO.sub.2 and X.sub.2O.sub.3, comprising: (a) preparing a mixture comprising one or more sources of YO.sub.2, one or more sources of X.sub.2O.sub.3, and one or more structure directing agents (SDA); (b) crystallizing the zeolitic material from the mixture obtained in (a); wherein Y is a tetravalent element and X is a bivalent element, and wherein the one or more structure directing agents comprise one or more isomers of diaminomethylcyclohexane. A zeolitic material having an FAU-type framework structure obtained according to the inventive process; processes for preparing a coated substrate and a shaped body, respectively, from the zeolitic material having a FAU-type framework structure obtained according to the inventive process and, a method for selectively reducing nitrogen oxides NOx employing said zeolitic material.
ZEOLITE WITH TUNED ALUMINUM CONTENT AND MESOPOROSITY
Compositions and methods for preparing mesoporous and/or mesostructured materials from low SAR zeolites are provided herewith. In particular, methods are provided that involve: (a) providing a low SAR zeolite, (b) optionally subjecting the low SAR zeolite to an acid framework modification, and (c) subjecting the framework-modified zeolite to a mesopore formation treatment. The resulting mesoporous zeolites can have bi-modal mesoporosity and higher aluminum contents relative to existing mesoporous zeolites.
Methods for preparing zeolites with surfactant-templated mesoporosity and tunable aluminum content
Compositions and methods for preparing mesoporous and/or mesostructured materials from low SAR zeolites are provided herewith. In particular, methods are provided that involve: (a) providing a low SAR zeolite, (b) optionally subjecting the low SAR zeolite to an acid framework modification, and (c) subjecting the framework-modified zeolite to a mesopore formation treatment. The resulting mesoporous zeolites can have bi-modal mesoporosity and higher aluminum contents relative to existing mesoporous zeolites.
Method for manufacturing zeolite membrane structure
A method for manufacturing a zeolite membrane structure includes a step of forming a first zeolite membrane on a porous support by hydrothermal synthesis in a state in which the porous support is immersed in a first zeolite membrane formation solution, a step of immersing the porous support formed the first zeolite membrane for greater than or equal to 5 minutes in a second zeolite membrane formation solution at greater than or equal to 10 degrees C. and less than or equal to 70 degrees C. and greater than or equal to pH 10, and a step of forming a second zeolite membrane on the first zeolite membrane by hydrothermal synthesis in a state in which the porous support formed the first zeolite membrane is immersed in the second zeolite membrane formation solution. The first zeolite membrane and the second zeolite membrane share at least one composite building unit constituting a framework structure.
PROCESS FOR MAKING MOLECULAR SIEVES
Processes are provided for preparing molecular sieves for use as catalysts. The process involves preparing a synthesis mixture for the molecular sieve wherein the synthesis mixture includes a morphology modifier which may be selected from cationic surfactants having a single quaternary ammonium group comprising at least one hydrocarbyl group having at least 12 carbon atoms, nonionic surfactants, anionic surfactants, sugars, and combinations thereof.
ZEOLITE MEMBRANE COMPOSITE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ZEOLITE MEMBRANE COMPOSITE
A process for producing a zeolite membrane composite includes a step of obtaining FAU-type seed crystals, a step of depositing the FAU-type seed crystals on a support, a step of forming an AFX-type zeolite membrane on the support by immersing the support in a raw material solution and growing an AFX-type zeolite from the FAU-type seed crystals by hydrothermal synthesis, and a step of removing a structure-directing agent from the AFX-type zeolite membrane. In this way, the AFX-type zeolite membrane can be provided.
Zeolites, the production thereof, and their uses for upgrading heavy oils
According to one or more embodiments disclosed herein, a mesoporous zeolite may be made by a method comprising contacting an initial zeolite material with ammonium hexafluorosilicate to modify the framework of the initial zeolite material, and forming mesopores in the framework-modified zeolite material. The contacting may form a framework-modified zeolite material. The mesoporous zeolites may be incorporated into catalysts.

SYNTHESIS OF ALUMINOSILICATE MOLECULAR SIEVES OF SWY FRAMEWORK TOPOLOGY
A method for synthesizing an aluminosilicate molecular sieve of SWY framework topology via interzeolitic conversion is described. The method includes (1) a step of preparing a reaction mixture containing an aluminosilicate zeolite of FAU framework topology, a structure directing agent comprising a 1-methyl-1-[7-(trimethylammonio)heptyl]piperidinium cation, a source of an alkali metal cation, a source of hydroxide ions, and water; and (2) a step of heating the reaction mixture to obtain an aluminosilicate molecular sieve of SWY framework topology.
