A hand vacuum cleaner has an air treatment chamber, which comprises a stationary portion and an openable portion. The openable portion is moveably mounted by a mount between a closed position in which the air treatment chamber is closed and an open position in which the air treatment chamber is open. The Air treatment chamber has an air outlet comprising a screen and the screen is moveable with the openable portion.

A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber. The cyclone chamber has an air inlet at a first end and an air outlet at an opposed end. A screen member extends from the air inlet to the air outlet at the opposed end.

A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber. The cyclone chamber has a sidewall extending from a first end to an axially opposed second end. A hand vacuum cleaner has an air treatment member positioned in an air flow path through the hand vacuum cleaner. The air treatment member comprises an air treatment chamber and a dirt collection chamber exterior to the air treatment chamber. The air treatment member comprises a stationary portion and an openable portion, the openable portion comprises a portion of a sidewall of the air treatment chamber and the openable portion is moveably mounted by a mount between a closed position in which the air treatment chamber and the dirt collection chamber are closed and an open position in which the air treatment chamber and the dirt collection chamber are open. The motor cover has an inlet and an outlet, the motor cover is configured to mount an electric blower, and an air inlet end of the electric blower is configured to be disposed towards the inlet; the motor cover is provided with a plurality of flow guiding channels therein, and the plurality of flow guiding channels are sequentially communicated; one of the flow guiding channels is communicated with an air outlet end of the electric blower, and another flow guiding channel is communicated with the outlet; at least two of the plurality of flow guiding channels are arranged along an axial direction of the electric blower and guide airflow along a circumferential direction of the electric blower.

A surface cleaning apparatus is provided with a housing including a suction source and a plurality of base assemblies that can be operably coupled to the housing. The multiple base assemblies can include different base assemblies for cleaning multiple surface types. A fluid distributor, including a base distributor, can supply cleaning fluid for a surface to be cleaned from at least one of the plurality of base assemblies.

A backpack dust collector includes a housing. The housing includes: a suction port; a dust collecting chamber connected to the suction port and configured to accommodate a dust collecting bag; a motor chamber connected to the dust collecting chamber and accommodating a fan and a motor; an exhaust port through which air from the motor chamber is discharged; first and second battery openings; and first and second battery receiving portions respectively corresponding to the first and second battery openings. At least part of the first battery opening is formed on a left side surface of the housing, and at least part of the second battery opening is formed on a right side surface of the housing.

Embodiments of the present invention described herein relate to vacuum cleaners. The vacuum cleaners described herein can include a motor, a lid, a collection receptacle, and at least one support member to permit access to the interior of the vacuum cleaner. Also described herein are vacuum cleaners having a motor, a lid, a collection receptacle, and an accessory holder that can be pivotally mounted to the collection receptacle to permit access to the contents thereof.
