Floor cleaner
A floor cleaner including a recovery tank. The recovery tank includes a tank body having a lower end wall, an open upper end, and a sidewall that extend upwardly from the lower end wall. A cover that includes a suction air outlet in fluid communication with a vacuum source. An inlet duct extends upwardly from the lower end wall. The recover tank includes a shutoff float including a float body and a closure. The float body is configured to float on a surface of cleaning fluid and the closure is received in the suction air outlet to close the suction air outlet. The float body moves along the inlet duct as the float body floats on the surface of the cleaning fluid. The float body includes an aperture extending through the float body and the inlet duct extends through the aperture of the float body.
Vacuum and hose retraction system
The present invention provides unique portable or stationary hose retraction systems in a single compact unit having an elongated hose, a chamber or plenum for storing the hose, a primary vacuum source for creating suction in the hose, and a secondary vacuum source for retracting the hose into the chamber. Embodiments may include one or more switches located at a distal end of the hose for controlling the primary and secondary vacuum sources. Other embodiments include a movable robotic unit with a proximity generating signal at the distal end of the hose, whereby the robotic unit may withdraw the hose as needed during use, and the secondary vacuum source may retract slack in the hose during use, or may retract the entire hose and the robotic unit after use.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus comprises an air treatment chamber having a first end comprising a first end wall, an axially spaced apart second end comprising a second end wall, a sidewall extending between the first and second end walls, an air treatment chamber air inlet and an air treatment chamber air outlet provided at the second end. A dirt collection region, which is contiguous with the air treatment chamber, is positioned axially from the first and second end walls and is closer to the second end wall than the first end wall.
Adapter for vacuum cleaner assembly
A vacuum cleaner assembly includes an upright vacuum cleaner, an adapter, and a handheld accessory. The upright vacuum cleaner includes an upright frame and a connection post. The connection post is coupled to the upright frame. The connection post includes a distal end. The adapter includes a recess and a projection. The distal end of the connection post is removably received in the recess. The projection is opposite the recess. The handheld accessory includes an elongate member. The elongate member includes a nozzle end. At least a portion of the projection is removably received in the nozzle end.
SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A kit comprising a hand vacuum cleaner and a floor standing docking station for the hand vacuum cleaner. When the hand vacuum cleaner is docked with the floor standing docking station and the openable door of the hand vacuum cleaner is opened, dirt collected in the dirt collection region of the hand vacuum cleaner is transferrable to the dirt collection chamber of the floor standing docking station.
Surface cleaning apparatus, cyclonic air treatment member and surface cleaning apparatus including the same
A surface cleaning apparatus comprises an air treatment chamber with a moveable member positioned therein. An end wall of the air treatment chamber is openable in response to a moveable member being longitudinally translated through at least the portion of the air treatment chamber. The driving assembly includes a handle and a drive rod that is rotatably mounted about a longitudinally extending axis of the drive rod between a stored position in which the moveable member is in a stored position and an operable position in which the moveable member is translatable through at least a portion of the chamber. In the stored position, the handle is longitudinally spaced from the first and second ends of the air treatment chamber and, when the driving assembly is in the operable position, the driving assembly is operable to longitudinally translate the moveable member through at least a portion of the chamber.
SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS WITH DIFFERENT CLEANING CONFIGURATIONS
A reconfigurable surface cleaning apparatus has a surface cleaning head, a support structure moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a storage position and a floor cleaning position and a portable cleaning unit removably mountable to the support structure. The support structure has a lower portion and an upper portion, the upper portion is rotationally mounted to the lower portion between a first configuration and a second configuration wherein, when the support structure is in the storage position and the support structure is in the first configuration, the upper portion extends upwardly from and lower portion and, when the support structure is in the storage position and the support structure is moved to the second configuration, the upper portion is rotated forwardly.
MODULAR CLEANER
The present invention relates to a modular cleaner which has each constituent component modularized to have the connecting order changed in accordance with a usage condition or be used by selecting and coupling only the necessary constituents, the modular cleaner comprising: a body unit having a motor and an impeller therein to generate a suction force, and having a dust collecting part for storing impurities; a battery unit provided on the body unit and for applying a power source to the motor and impeller; a handle unit which can be detached from the body unit and has a grip part which can be held by a user; and a cleaning unit applying physical force to an object to be cleaned by coming into contact with the object to be cleaned, wherein coupling parts for coupling with the handle unit or cleaning unit are provided on both end parts of the body unit.
WET DRY APPLIANCE
A cleaning device and methods for cleaning are provided. In one embodiment, the cleaning device includes a head assembly, a body assembly, and a handle assembly. The cleaning device also includes components that enable the cleaning device to operate in dry cleaning modes and wet cleaning modes. Dry cleaning modes can employ a vacuum assembly, including a motor, tubing, and a fluid recovery tank in order to draw in debris and waste into a fluid recovery tank. Wet cleaning modes can further employ a fluid supply tank, a pump, and tubing in order to supply fluid to a brushroll to aid in a cleaning process.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus has a surface cleaning head and an upper portion moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a storage position and a floor cleaning position, the upper portion has upper portion laterally extending members.
