A vacuum cleaner has a portable cleaning unit that is removably mounted to the surface cleaning head. The vacuum cleaner is operable in a floor cleaning configuration in which the portable cleaning unit is mounted to the surface cleaning head and is part of the air flow path through the vacuum cleaner. The portable cleaning unit is also useable in a portable cleaning configuration in which the portable cleaning unit is removed from the surface cleaning head and the suction motor is powered by an energy storage member.

A dust extractor (1) includes a motor (30) and a blower fan (40), which is disposed downward of the motor and is connected to the motor. The dust extractor further includes a flexible (pliable) support member (50; 500), which has a lower-end portion (52) connected to the motor and suspends the motor.

A cleaner that includes: a main body; a suction assembly; and a coupling hose, wherein the main body includes: an air suctioning device, a case, a driving motor that is coupled to a first surface of the case and that is configured to generate driving force, a traveling wheel that is coupled to the first surface of the case and that is configured to rotate based on driving force generated by the driving motor, a motor cover that is configured to cover the driving motor such that the driving motor is located in a space between the first surface of the case and the motor cover, a rotating shaft that is coupled to the driving motor and that is configured to transfer driving force generated by the driving motor to the traveling wheel, and a coupling unit that couples the rotating shaft to the traveling wheel is disclosed.

The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner, and more particularly to a vacuum cleaner including a case detachably provided at a cleaner body to accommodate dust and of which an upper surface and a lower surface are opened; a cyclone provided inside the case to separate the dust; an upper cover configured to shield the upper surface of the case and having a suction port through which the dust is suctioned and a discharge port through which air separated from the dust is discharged; an upper locker rotatably installed at an outer surface of the case and configured to selectively restrict the upper cover; a lower cover configured to shield the lower surface of the case; and a lower locker slidably installed at the outer surface of the case and configured to selectively push and open the lower cover.

The dust collector, that may be used in vacuum cleaner, includes: a primary cyclone unit separating dust from air introduced from outside the dust collector; and a secondary cyclone unit defining axial cyclone bodies separating fine dust from air introduced in an axial direction. The secondary cyclone unit includes casings having outer walls around hollow portions; and a fine dust separating member disposed on the casings to form the axial cyclones. The fine dust separating member includes vortex finders disposed in the casings; band portions enclosing an outer circumferential surface of the vortex finders at a position spaced from the vortex finders, and having a shape corresponding to the casings so as to form the axial cyclones together with the casings; and guide vanes disposed between the vortex finders and the band portions and extending in a spiral direction to induce a rotational flow of air.

A wand and hose assembly for a vacuum cleaner includes a suction wand fluidly connected to the end of a suction hose by a duct and the duct incorporates an articulating joint for allowing articulated movement of the suction wand relative to the end of the suction hose. The wand and the duct are arranged for telescopic sliding movement relative to one another, and the articulating joint is moveable into a position in which the wand can slide telescopically through the duct for retraction into the suction hose.

A vacuum system for vacuuming is disclosed. The vacuum system includes a baseboard cleaning attachment, a floor cleaning attachment, and a hose attachment. Each of the attachments is selectively mounted to a hose of the vacuum system for vacuuming floors, baseboards and tight spaces. The baseboard cleaning attachment includes a brush head having a right-angled portion, and a curved portion. The brush head includes a neck to mount the brush head to the hose. The right-angled portion is aligned with the baseboard and is used to vacuum. The floor cleaning attachment includes an elongated tube, and an under furniture handle mounted to the elongated tube. The elongated tube includes a beater head with a beater. The elongated tube is mounted to the hose, and the under furniture handle is used vacuum under furniture. The hose attachment is in an S-shape for tight spaces.

A vacuum cleaner has a portable cleaning unit that is removably mounted to the surface cleaning head. The vacuum cleaner is operable in a floor cleaning configuration in which the portable cleaning unit is mounted to the surface cleaning head and is part of the air flow path through the vacuum cleaner. The dust collecting apparatus may comprises a dust collecting space configured to collect impurities and a variable body formed to surround the dust collecting space and having one of transparency, shape and color changed by selectively transmitting or reflecting light in response to applied electric power.

Provided is a vacuum cleaner including a cleaner body of which a center of gravity is disposed at a rear side further than a rotating center thereof; one pair of moving wheels provided at both side surfaces of the cleaner body and configured to rotatably support the cleaner body and also to be rotated for travelling; and a rear wheel unit provided at a bottom surface of the cleaner body and configured to elastically support the cleaner body at a rear of the pair of moving wheels, wherein the rear wheel unit includes a supporting part rotatably installed at the bottom surface of the cleaner body and rotated in a rotating direction of the cleaner body; an elastic portion configured to extend from one side of the supporting part and to be elastically deformed by being in contact with the bottom surface of the cleaner body when the supporting part is rotated; a rotating member shaft-coupled to the supporting part and installed to be rotatable in a direction intersecting with a rotating direction of the supporting part; and a rear wheel installed at the rotating member and rolled while being in contact with the ground.
