WATER HARVESTING SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USING THEREOF
Provided herein are water harvesting systems, as well as methods using such systems, for capturing water from surrounding air. The systems and methods use water capture materials to adsorb water from the air. For example, the water capture materials may be metal-organic-frameworks. The systems and methods desorb this water in the form of water vapor, and the water vapor is condensed into liquid water and collected. The liquid water is suitable for use as drinking water.

SYSTEM FOR TREATING BIO-CONTAMINATED WASTEWATER AND PROCESS FOR DECONTAMINATING A WASTEWATER SOURCE
A system and process for decontaminating a bio-contaminated wastewater fluid as from a slaughterhouse or similar facility. The system and process recovers purified vapor/steam through a decontamination unit having a plurality of alternating rotating trays and fixed baffles in a processing vessel producing separate purified and contaminant streams. One or more filter/strainer units are disposed in parallel before the decontamination unit, and may be used alternately while the other is cleaned. A rotating shaft connected to the rotating trays may also connected to an electrical generator to provide electricity for circuits and controls in the system.

Inflatable boat desalination system based on inflatable non-imaging solar concertrator
A portable floating sea water desalination system is presented to realize ultra-high efficiency and extremely low cost water purification. The disclosed system comprises an inflatable non-imaging solar concentrator based compact desalinator subsystem, a photovoltaic powered distillation subsystem, and an inflatable rubber boat system. The inflatable non-imaging solar concentrator concentrates both beam light and diffuse light into an envelope type evaporator to evaporate the brine water to realize extremely low cost. A nano materials absorber is incorporated into the evaporator to realize ultra-high efficiency. A portion of the heated brine water contained in the evaporator is circulated to the photovoltaic powered distillation subsystem for further evaporation. Both of the subsystems above are mounted on the inflatable rubber boat subsystem for portability.

The system includes a housing comprising a first and second portion; a water vapor distillation apparatus housed in the first portion of the housing, the water vapor distillation apparatus producing a distilled water product; at least one storage tank housed in the second portion of the housing and fluidly connected to the water vapor distillation apparatus; at least one pump housed in the second portion of the housing and fluidly connected to the at least one storage tank; and at least one appliance located outside of the housing and fluidly connected to the at least one pump, wherein the distilled water product is stored in the at least one storage tank and the pump pumps water from the at least one storage tank to the at least one appliance.

Solar humidifier in a humidification-dehumidification type desalination system
An aspect of the present disclosure relates to a solar humidifier. The solar humidifier includes a solar collector comprises perforations, wherein the solar collector exhibits an absorptance in the range of 0.70 to 0.95 when dry. The solar humidifier also includes a frame on which the solar collector is mounted, wherein the frame provides at least one opening for supplying brine to a surface of the solar collector. The solar humidifier further includes a collection box, wherein the collection box includes an interior volume and is enclosed on a side by the solar collector.
