A method of sterilizing ballast water contains providing a device in a pressurized cabin of a ship, the device includes: a first sterilization unit, multiple second sterilization units, and a third sterilization unit. The first sterilizer includes a first valve connected with a first pump via at least one first pipe, and the multiple second sterilization units are soaked in ballast water of the pressurized cabin. A method of sterilizing the ballast water contains steps of: S1. feeding seawater into the first valve from an exterior of the ship and pumping the seawater into the first sterilizer via the at least one first pipe; S2. magnetizing, wherein the first sterilizer has multiple magnetization elements so as to destroy cell walls of microorganism and bacteria in the seawater by using a magnetic field of the multiple magnetization elements; and S3. inhibiting a growth of the microorganism and the bacteria.
Magnetic filter with drain and removable external magnetic element
A magnetic filter 10 for a central heating system is disclosed, the filter 10 including a connection assembly 12, a canister 14, and a magnetic element 16, the connection assembly 12 including an inlet 24 and an outlet 26 for connection to a central heating circuit; the canister 14 having an interior separation chamber which is fluidly connected with the inlet 24 and outlet 26 for allowing fluid to flow into the inlet 24, through the separation chamber, and out of the outlet 26; and the magnetic element 16 being removably positionable on the outside of the canister 14, the canister 14 and the connection assembly 12 forming a sealed flow path comprising the inlet 24, the interior separation chamber and the outlet 26, and the connection assembly 12 further including a closable drain outlet 28b for draining fluid and magnetic particles from within the canister 14, internally of the magnetic element 16.
MAGNETIC FILTER
A magnetic filter is disclosed suitable for use in large heating and/or cooling systems, for example heating systems using pipework between 2 inch bore and 4 inch bore. The magnetic filter includes a separation chamber in the form of a pipe, and externally-mounted magnetic assemblies which are movable from a position close to the pipe to a position spaced from the pipe. The magnetic assemblies are pivotally mounted to the pipe via a framework.
MAGNETIC FILTER
A magnetic filter is disclosed suitable for use in large heating and/or cooling systems, for example heating systems using pipework between 2 inch bore and 4 inch bore. The magnetic filter includes a separation chamber in the form of a pipe, and externally-mounted magnetic 5 assemblies which are movable from a position close to the pipe to a position spaced from the pipe. The magnetic assemblies are pivotally mounted to the pipe via a framework.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL FLUID FILTER USING MAGNETOSTRICTIVE SENSORS
In at least one illustrative embodiment, an electromagnetic filter may include a pipe and a magnetic field generator such as an array of permanent magnets. The magnetic field generator generates a magnetic field through a filter section of the pipe. Multiple filter elements are positioned within the filter section of the pipe. The filter elements include a magnetic material and a biorecognition element to bind with a microorganism. The biorecognition element may be a bacteriophage that is genetically engineered to bind with the microorganism. The magnetic field forces the filter elements to positions within the filter section of the pipe. A fluid media may be flowed from an inlet of the pipe to an outlet of the pipe, through the filter section. The fluid media may be a liquid food such as fruit juice. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A water treatment system includes a water passage, a magnet and a hydroxyl radical generator. Water flows through the water passage. The magnet is adjacent to the water passage and produces a magnetic field in the water passage, The hydroxyl radical generator generates hydroxyl radicals in the water in the water passage. A water treatment method includes the steps of providing a water passage, producing a magnetic field in the water passage, flowing water through the magnetic field and generating, while the water is in the magnetic field, hydroxyl radicals in the water. The water can be recirculated through the water passage a number of times.
