METHOD FOR THE REMOVAL OF AT LEAST ONE CONTAMINANT FROM AN AQUEOUS LIQUOR OR A GAS
A method for the removal of at least one contaminant from an aqueous liquor or a gas, comprising: preparing a solution or slurry of a solid alkali reagent by supplying a solid alkali reagent into a pre-wetting chamber via a feed pipe; supplying a liquid via two or more liquid sidestreams, each through a liquid inlet positioned on a side wall of the chamber to allow the liquid sidestreams to wash an internal wall of a frusto-conical section of the chamber and flow, preferably tangentially onto the internal wall in a downward spiraling manner thereby forming a vortex, towards a fluid outlet of the chamber and to further wet the solid alkali reagent with the supplied liquid thereby forming a pre-wetted reagent; and flowing a stream though a conduit, thereby creating a suction by the eductor to draw the pre-wetted reagent out of the chamber fluid outlet and mixing it with the stream to form a slurry or solution; and directing the slurry or solution exiting the eductor to an aqueous liquor or gas treatment unit, removing at least a portion of the contaminant from the aqueous liquor or gas in the treatment unit.
Mobile device for treating water

Example aspects of a remote-operated flushing system and a method of operating a flushing system are disclosed. The remote-operated flushing system can comprise a fluid routing assembly comprising a valve, the valve configurable in an open configuration, wherein fluid is permitted to flow through the fluid routing assembly, and a closed configuration, wherein the fluid is prohibited from flowing through the fluid routing assembly; a control device configured to actuate the valve between the open configuration and closed configuration; a remote operation device wirelessly connected to the control device and configured to remotely operate the control device to control the actuation of the valve between the open configuration and closed configuration; and a sensor configured to detect a fluid property of the fluid within the fluid routing assembly, wherein the control device is configured to wirelessly send a signal representative of the fluid property detected by the sensor.
Time-release tablet and methods
A time-release composition and method of making and using the time-release composition. The time-release composition may include an active ingredient that is useful in deterring unwanted growth, such as bacterial and fungal growth, in high-flow water environments. The composition can include several active ingredients to provide a multiple use tablet. The multi-use tablet can be used to dispense any combination of active ingredients that act as clarifiers, minerals, medications, buffers, chemical dosing, and/or other maintenance components, such as growth deterrents and water filtration augmentation and any combination thereof.
Multiple-bore solute cartridge carrier
A multiple-bore solute cartridge carrier 10) for use in a sterile fluid delivery system. The carrier includes a rotary housing (12) adapted for connection to the sterile fluid delivery system. The rotary housing has one or more bores (30) configured to receive a solute cartridge. The rotary housing, when connected to the sterile fluid delivery system, is selectively rotatable to facilitate creation of a desired sterile solution when sterile water from the fluid delivery system is flowed through the solute cartridge.

One aspect of the present disclosure can include a system for dispensing purified and sterilized fluid and/or solution. The delivery system can include a fluid reservoir, a sterilization and/or purification mechanism, a solution production mechanism, a dispensing mechanism, and a controller. The system can dispense the purified and sterilized fluid and/or solution on-demand.
POOL AND SPA WATER QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A water quality management system for a water installation containing water. In some embodiments, the system has a water quality measurement module adapted to monitor the water quality of the water in the water installation and to send water quality information to a controller; and a chemical dispensing module adapted to dispense at least one chemical directly into the water installation in response to signals from the controller based on a water quality measurement by the water quality measurement module, the chemical dispensing module comprising a reservoir adapted to contain the at least one chemical, a movable dispenser adapted and configured to advance a fixed quantity of the chemical out of the reservoir and into the water of the water installation in response to signals from the controller.
System and method for treating wastewater
A system and method to treat wastewater or non-potable water using a reactor that is perforated at its bottom arranged in a vessel at a depth. Air pressure from an air grid at a reactor bottom induces an uplift of liquid and media to move highly aerated liquid through the media, which provides surfaces for microbial attachment and growth. An alkali porous material is suspended in the upswelling liquid that dissolves to reduce acidity and balance the pH of the liquor. The upswell in the reactor is at a higher elevation than the vessel giving directional discharge outlets head or velocity creating stirring and mixing to an area surrounding the reactor. Interchange of mixed and unmixed liquor is provided via the bottom perforations. Provision is also made for unit to cycle off and on so that the media can decant and for solids to settle out of the treatment unit.
