Distributor pipe and trickling filter
A distributor pipe includes: a main pipe including a cylindrical part; and a plurality of branch pipes communicating with the main pipe and arranged, on a cylindrical curved surface of the main pipe, side by side along a longitudinal direction of the main pipe. A pipe diameter ratio D.sub.1/D.sub.0 of a pipe diameter D.sub.1 of the branch pipe to a pipe diameter D.sub.0 of the main pipe is greater than 0.2 and less than 0.8, and the plurality of branch pipes are arranged according to: respective effluent flow ratios, at a time a liquid flows into the main pipe in a predetermined flow velocity range, determined in accordance with respective arrangement orders of the plurality of branch pipes along a direction in which the liquid flows and along the longitudinal direction of the main pipe; and respective areas of circular or hollow-circular sections allotted to the plurality of branch pipes.
Double coil effluent dispersal apparatus and method
The present invention is a wastewater treatment system utilizing a recirculating filter system comprising sand, gravel, or synthetic media. Septic effluent is continuously, or approximately continuously, dosed under pressure to the treatment media through pressure compensating drip irrigation emitters. The dosed effluent is treated and dispersed into a dispersal field using double coiled distribution lines that can alternate flow through emitters to rest the dispersal field. The double coil dispersal lines allow more emitters per unit area allowing treatment of the effluent more slowly and effectively.
Tree Box Filter with Hydromodification Panels
The invention provides structures, methods, and assemblies for bioretention systems, including tree box filters with substantially permeable panels integrated into a bottom portion of the tree box filter. The invention also provides methods and additional structures that are useful for managing stormwater flow and inhibiting the flow of pollutants, debris, and other contaminants into drainage systems.

Aquarium Filter
An aquarium water filtering system includes a first filtering section, a second filtering section, and a third filtering section. The first filtering section has a first housing configured to receive water, perform a first filtering action on the received water, and produce a first filtered water. The second filtering section has a second housing placed horizontally adjacent to the first housing and configured to receive first filtered water, perform a second filtering action on the first filtered water, and produce a second filtered water. The third filtering section has a third housing placed horizontally adjacent to the second housing and configured to receive the second filtered water, perform a third filtering action on the second filtered water, and produce a third filtered water for return to the aquarium.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND METHOD FOR TREATING WASTEWATER
The invention concerns a wastewater treatment plant and a method for it. The plant comprising at least one main reactor module (30) having a plurality of stackable filter-modules (50), each filter-module purifying wastewater independently by being individually charged batchwise with wastewater. The wastewater is discharged on each filter-module by means of a deflector (44) referenced to a filter-module (50), the deflector creating a back pressure in dependency of the gravity-flow-force of the wastewater leading to that the wastewater is spilled from the deflector (44) in an angle of discharge relative to a horizontal plane evenly onto every independent filter-module, respectively.
Method for optimization of filtration in an aquaculture system
A method for optimizing filtration in an aquaculture system. The method for optimizing filtration includes, taking at least one sample of matter from an aquaculture system, defining at least one predetermined characteristic to test the sample of matter for, testing the at least one sample of matter, determining if the at least one predetermined characteristic is present within the sample, modifying resource distribution within the aquaculture system, taking at least two samples of matter within the aquaculture system, re-defining at least one predetermined characteristic to test the at least two samples of matter for, testing the at least two samples of matter, determining if the re-defined at least one predetermined characteristic is present within the at least two samples of matter and ensuring the filtration system will retain a state of optimization.
Rotating Spray Device for Water Distribution on Media Bed of a Biofilter
A biofilter irrigation system comprises a cylindrical vessel having a central axis, a media bed positioned within the vessel, a spray head system positioned above the media bed, the spray head system comprising a central hub positioned at the central axis of the vessel, at least one arm extending distally from the central hub toward a wall of the vessel and configured to rotate about the central axis, and a plurality of nozzles connected to the at least one arm. The biofilter irrigation system further comprises a fluid outlet positioned below the media bed.
Pulsating, horizontal flow wastewater treatment system
The pulsating horizontal flow absorption bed comprises an array of permeable filtration elements enclosing filtering media. The array of permeable filtration elements includes a first upstream filtration element and a last downstream filtration element; a plateau of granular materiel under the array of filtration elements; an air-permeable layer above the array of filtration elements; a wastewater delivery pipe mounted in the first filtration element; and a pulsating device connected to the array of filtration elements for sequentially increasing and lowering a level of wastewater is the filtration elements. The filtering media in the filtration elements is sequentially exposed to wastewater and air. In another aspect, the filtration elements have permeable walls there between, and these walls are mounted parallel to the wastewater delivery pipe, such that resistance to flow increases through the array of filtration elements and such that treatment efficiency increases according to wastewater content.
A BIOFILTRATION SYSTEM
A biofiltration system for filtering wastewater includes a tower containing a packed bed on which biofilm is able to form and an air inlet below the packed bed and an air outlet above the packed bed. A water feed above the packed bed disperses wastewater over the packed bed. The biofilm serves as a biological contact reactor removing organic and/or inorganic contaminants from the water. Following filtration of the water through the packed bed, filtered water and solid waste sloughed off from the packed bed collects in a sump below the packed bed. Water flows from a water outlet in the sump to a centrifugal separator that separates solid material from water drawn from the sump to expel a waste stream and a filtered water stream.
