A riding floor cleaning machine having an intelligent system including a main frame sub-assembly, a steering and drive wheel sub-assembly, a solution tank sub-assembly, a recovery tank sub-assembly, a recovery tank cover sub-assembly, a control panel sub-assembly, a main controller sub-assembly, a seat and detergent system sub-assembly, a battery sub-assembly, a scrub head sub-assembly, a scrub head lift sub-assembly, a squeegee sub-assembly, a solution and detergent sub-assembly, and an intelligent system associated with at least one of the above-identified sub-assemblies, wherein the intelligent system selectively gathers, obtains, monitors, stores, records, and/or analyzes data associated with components of the riding floor cleaning machine, and controllably communicates and/or disseminates such data with another system and/or user.

Floor sweeper

A floor sweeper includes a housing which has a garbage cavity for containing garbage. The garbage cavity has an inlet allowing the garbage to enter the garbage cavity. A sweeping roller is disposed at the inlet of the garbage cavity, is rotatably connected to the housing and is able to sweep outside garbage into the garbage cavity. A sealing plate for opening/closing the inlet is disposed at the inlet of the garbage cavity. An ejector rod is vertically and movably connected to the housing, has an upper end connected to the sealing plate and is able to move vertically to drive the sealing plate to move. When floor sweeper cleans a floor, the ejector rod abuts against the floor and moves upwards to drive the sealing plate to move to open the inlet of the garbage cavity.

COVERAGE ROBOTS AND ASSOCIATED CLEANING BINS
20220167821 · 2022-06-02 ·

An autonomous coverage robot includes a chassis, a drive system configured to maneuver the robot, and a cleaning assembly. The cleaning assembly includes a cleaning assembly housing and at least one driven sweeper brush. The robot includes a controller and a removable sweeper bin configured to receive debris agitated by the driven sweeper brush. The sweeper bin includes an emitter disposed on an interior surface of the bin and a receiver disposed remotely from the emitter on the interior surface of the bin and configured to receive an emitter signal. The emitter and the receiver are disposed such that a threshold level of accumulation of debris in the sweeper bin blocks the receiver from receiving emitter emissions. The robot includes a bin controller disposed in the sweeper bin and monitoring a detector signal and initiating a bin full routine upon determining a bin debris accumulation level requiring service.

Floor surface cleaning machine and cleaning method using the same

A floor surface cleaning machine includes a suction mechanism disposed at a bottom side of a machine frame for suction of dust and dirt on the floor surface, a brush mechanism disposed at the bottom side of the machine frame rearwardly of the suction mechanism for brushing the floor surface with cleaning liquid, and a squeegee unit disposed at the bottom side of the machine frame rearwardly of the brush mechanism for gathering dirty liquid. Before brushing the floor surface, fibers may be removed from the floor surface together with the dust and dirt for preventing the fibers from being tangled up with bristles of the brush mechanism.

Method and apparatus for combining data to construct a floor plan

A robot for perceiving a spatial representation of an environment, including: an actuator, at least one sensor, a processor, and memory storing instructions that when executed by the processor effectuates operations including: capturing a plurality of data by the at least one sensor of the robot, wherein: the plurality of data comprises first data comprising pixel characteristics indicative of features of the environment and second data indicative of depth to objects in the environment; the plurality of data is captured from different positions within the environment through which the robot moves, the plurality of data corresponding with respective positions from which the plurality of data was captured; and the plurality of data captured from different respective positions within the environment corresponds to respective fields of view; and aligning the plurality of data as it is captured to more accurately perceive the spatial representation of the environment.

Modular robot

A coverage robot including a chassis, multiple drive wheel assemblies disposed on the chassis, and a cleaning assembly carried by the chassis. Each drive wheel assembly including a drive wheel assembly housing, a wheel rotatably coupled to the housing, and a wheel drive motor carried by the drive wheel assembly housing and operable to drive the wheel. The cleaning assembly including a cleaning assembly housing, a cleaning head rotatably coupled to the cleaning assembly housing, and a cleaning drive motor carried by cleaning assembly housing and operable to drive the cleaning head. The wheel assemblies and the cleaning assembly are each separately and independently removable from respective receptacles of the chassis as complete units.

Autonomous floor cleaner and docking station

An autonomous floor cleaning system includes an interlock for physically interlocking an autonomous floor cleaner with a docking station. The interlock selectively engages when the robot is docked at the docking station, and can automatically engage as when a predefined locking criterion is met. The interlock can remain engaged until a predefined unlocking criterion is met. Methods for docking an autonomous floor cleaner with a docking station are disclosed.

FLOOR CLEANING APPARATUS WITH CLEANING FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM

The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that includes a steam delivery system for steam mopping a floor surface after sweeping dry dirt, dust, hair, and other debris from the floor surface. The surface cleaning apparatus can be configured to perform multiple cleaning functions, including dry sweeping and steam mopping. The surface cleaning apparatus can have a steam vent for venting a portion of the steam from a brush chamber.

The cleaning pad portion includes a backing and at least one cleaning pad connected to a bottom surface of the backing. The autonomous cleaning robot includes a vacuum bag portion configured to collect at least a portion of debris removed from the floor surface by a vacuum assembly of the autonomous cleaning robot. A volume of the vacuum bag portion is positioned vertically above the cleaning pad portion.

Floor maintenance machine with discharge funnel
11723505 · 2023-08-15 · ·

A floor maintenance machine includes a clean fluid tank with a discharge funnel running therethrough that forms part of an exhaust pathway for a vacuum source. The vacuum source discharges an exhaust during operation of the machine from the exhaust outlet into the discharge funnel. The exhaust may be gaseous and/or include a liquid component in the case of a machine malfunction if liquid from a recovery chamber is non-ideally drawn into the vacuum source in the case a fail-safe does not work. The discharge funnel can provide a way for the liquid to exit the interior of the machine in such case.
